It’s 3:40 PM. I’m walking down the bridge staircase. The sun is staining the sky a bright blue. It’s not quite the pale blue of cotton candy at a fair. It’s a cartoonish, suburban neighborhood blue that would be pretty if it didn’t feel so fake. As I pass the painted wall by the school, a voice calls out to me. “Stella!” Instinctively, I turn, and immediately, I regret it. Sitting on the wall is a girl I don’t particularly want to get involved with. She’s wearing a full face of makeup. There’s that

The theme of optimism is something that can be found in many of Langston Hughes writings. Optimism generalized expectation of belief, that good things will generally occur in one's life. Examining the severity of high school athletes who suffered sport related concussions is critical to determine the short term/long term damaging effects. When athletes’ concussions go undiagnosed, the risk of further damages increases since they are not fully recovered. When you hear the oxymoron “historical fiction” you might think of an anecdote about a John Doe in World War 2. In this case, think more on the lines of a fiction novel with a vast historical influence on culture. Fiction novels not only play a key role in the entertainment of an audience but also the influence they leave on them. However, in order to influence the audience, the novel must also be very historically accurate. The combination of influence and historical accuracy can create a new subcategory
