This is my second year in the best experience I have ever gotten involved with which is Contemporary Youth Orchestra. I would never have the amount of passion I do for music if it weren't for this orchestra. I learn so many skills each week and learn how everything relates to one another. By the end of one season, I had the most mind blowing experiences. This did not come easy at all for me. Most particularly, the concert at Severance Hall with Graham Nash presented the biggest challenge to overcome

There have been thousands of orchestras played around the world. One of the most known and popular orchestral concerts of today is George Michael’s Symphonic Orchestra Tour. I decided to mainly focus on his appearance at Echo Arena in London on October 10th, 2012. The experience of seeing a live orchestra for the first time was very unique and pleasant to me. The feel and atmosphere was much different from what you would experience at a country or hip hop concert. The venue was very quiet and respectful, no one was talking or playing around on their cell phones. Whereas my prior concert experiences had consisted of musicians aiming to be as

Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the Texas State Symphony Orchestra Recital at Evans Auditorium. The performance was made up of two pieces: “Overture to Nabucco” composed by Giuseppe Verdi and “Symphony No. 5 E minor op. 64” composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky with its 4 movements. The theme of the overall performance was “Fifth and Fate”, depicting the ideas of life and destiny. Despite its flaws, the concert very well exemplified this theme and overall put on a delightful and memorable

I have never been personally a fan of the romantic orchestra music but going to listen to a concert live is breathtaking. I attended the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra, Masterpieces concert with music director Fouad Fakhouri performing Igor Stravinsky’s Symphony of Psalms and Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No.1 in D major. There was a full stage of musicians and a complete choir to back it up. The first half of the performance was a complete orchestra of woodwinds, strings, drums, brass, excreta and a
