Lent signifies the beginning of spring...after all, the name itself is derived from the Anglo-Saxon word; Lencten, meaning Springtime. It's the time of year that many of us look forward to all winter long. A time where the flowers bloom and the birds begin their yearly song and dance. This is a time of new beginnings, a time where we purge what we no longer want or need, ridding ourselves and our homes of the stagnant, either physically or energetically. During this time of the year we start fresh, looking forward to the bright and sunny days ahead...

Last week I took advantage of the unseasonably warm weather by taking a walk with my son. It was the first time we had been outside in what felt like ages. (I don't count running from the house to the car and vise versa cloaked in my wool coat and snow crunching beneath my boots as spending time outside). Would this new season bring with it new beginnings and new opportunities? Each year we grow a little bit more, navigating our way through this thing that they call the "American dream". We begin to prepare for upcoming events that we have always taken part in. "Should we continue on with what we've been doing"? I ask myself. Or should we, like my neighbors, weed out the "clutter" in our garden. Symbolically throwing away that which does not serve us anymore. Things come to mind on how to be more efficient and make our process easier and convenient for our customers. Though, I do not believe that we have clutter or "weeds" in our garden per say, we are always looking for ways to make our garden more beautiful, more noticeable than, say, other gardens.
