Fourth through sixth grade, I learned quickly the curriculum was a little more challenging than the first four years of school. There were many changes in school just within these three years. I was learning many new things, things were becoming more challenging. One thing I can say about these years is, I had two of the best teachers anyone could ever ask for. My fourth and sixth grade teacher made me enjoy coming to school. My fourth grade teacher made my fourth grade year one of the best a child could ask for. Mr. Dennison was my fourth grade teacher; my class was his last class he taught before retiring. He may have been older, but that never stopped him from making school fun and being very energetic. In third grade I remember seeing
The transition from elementary into middle school was tough, in fact I did not do well the first semester of that year. During these school years was unbeliebable the amount of people I met, especially my best friend. We used to play soccer a lot and ride bicycle all day long. Unfotunally, within those cheerful years my brother came to the US, which at the time felt like the worst thing that could've happened to me.
Coming to school every day as a tenth grader was exciting, but it can get very annoying at times. I had to overcome many challenges to make it this far. Generally, freshman year was a year of change. One of the greatest things I learned as I reached sophomore year, was not to procrastinate.
Middle school was a major change for me; new friends, new educators, new schedule. I went to Edison and it has been stunning, I was prepared to begin the year off huge. Amid my
Freshman, sophomore, and junior year of high school could never compare to senior year, though these were the years that molded me! I learned about boys. I experienced my first heartbreak. I got great advice from instructors I will never forget. And those years taught me how to forgive, but never
It was sixth grade and an advanced English class was chosen. I was discouraged because I actually enjoyed reading and writing but found out I wasn’t smart enough to be in that class. However, I would say that seventh grade was my favorite year of English. We still had vocabulary, which I wish we still did because I always have boring essays because I don’t remember the words we learned. I wouldn’t say that I disliked reading yet in middle school. I’d even say the most exciting part of middle school would be reading The Hunger Games with Mrs. Young, especially since she was kind of a nerd and got overly excited about all of our
1. How would you describe the quality of your high school's educational resources (such as teachers, counselors, assistance with course selection and college admission planning, books, facilities, size and location)?
Six grade was a little challenging at first because I was new to the area. Before 6th grade, I was going to a school in Oxnard. The school´s name was Thurgood Marshall. In that school, I had a lot of friends. I had a friend name Eduardo. He and I were in the same class from
At the beginning of my ninth grade, I started to feel and sense I was in a different environment from Jr. High. I became more serious about my school work. I started performing at such a higher level than ever before. I became an A-B Student and score advance on my SATP Algebra I test and proficient on my SATP Biology I test.
Eighth grade. I can honestly tell you that I have learn almost nothing in academic, but that would only stretch the true. I cannot truly remember what went on exactly in eighth grade, but I can specifically remember my English class, a place of hopelessness. My English at the time of eighth grade was not the best nor was it the worst, however I did struggle in English the most. My experience in eighth grade was not the same as Michael J. Romick, his was a much more learning compare to mine. Romick was engaged for the first time in academics, the moment he had heard the combination of poetry with music he had become stunned. His experience with those combination were written in his article Totally Tuned In.
Middle school just seemed like another round at the elementary school. The year that I was dreading came along, seventh grade. Checking out an AR book was required for a grade and we had to test on the books we checked out even if we didn’t enjoy the book. My english teacher was picky, everything had to be just how she wanted it but other than her checking over the students work every five minutes she was good. Science was my favorite class to take and I was so excited to have that class and Rainie, my sister told me she would be a great teacher. Our class had a couple of class clowns in it, but who would have thought the students would end up making our teacher cry? Eighth grade was definitely difficult my science teacher, Mrs Prescott knew what she was doing and boy that made the class then times harder she was willing to do anything to help me out. She was not hesitant to call home to a kids parent in front of the class if the next day there was no homework brought back. Once a month we went on a field trip to E.O Wilson Biophilia and it was always a blast studying different types of animals and learn about the environment. Middle school wasn’t exactly a walk in the park but it was not too far from it.
Sixth grade was great. I had great teachers and I wish I could remember all of their names. For my math class I had Mrs. Denton, and she was a very loud, and cheerful(most of the time). She was pregnant towards the end of my sixth. There are two things that I always remember about her. One is that she has really curly hair and the other is to remember that it was time for lunch her phone would go off and it sounded like a rooster. For social studies I had Mrs. Whitten. She was nice and it was her second year of teaching. We did geography that year and I absolutely loved it. My favorite part was
Starting 6th grade as a “Deer in the Headlights” on the first day of school, to falling on the ice on the Snoopy ice skating rink during the art field trip, my two years in Middle School have been great. All my middle school teachers have been excellent, I have loved all of them.

First ,being in fourth grade is something New you have new classmates teachers and new friends.Fourth grade is cool because you get like 30 or 25 minutes to talk with your friends or play tag and hide and seek . Middle school was a drastic change in my life. In elementary school I didn't have to worry about wearing makeup or what I wore but once I entered middle school, it all changed. The classes became harder, the testing became more frequent, the teachers started to care less, and having to change classes every hour and a half was very confusing.
The teachers taught me well, while my peers taught me more about life. I made my best friends in middle school and we are a family now. I cherished the time I spent in middle school. I was a top student who was doing well, had many friends, and was making a name for myself in sports and extracurricular activities. Then once again graduation rolled around and I had to leave all of the good things behind. But I was ready to embark on an education that was more geared towards my future.
