People often take paths in life that can either help them out or hurt them. Sidewalks are a little rocky at times while others are smoothed out and ready to be used. Life will determine a future and whatever choices that are made today will determine the future ahead. People use sidewalks as a guide to a destination just like life we take life step by step get prepared for the future. The easiest life still comes with cracks along the way.
Throughout my elementary school years I was worried and stressed out because I had a speech class that I went to three days a week when I was in kindergarten. Mrs. Mackenzie was an awesome teacher, she made us feel welcomed there and she cared about her students. Kindergarten through third grade,

Middle school just seemed like another round at the elementary school. The year that I was dreading came along, seventh grade. Checking out an AR book was required for a grade and we had to test on the books we checked out even if we didn’t enjoy the book. My english teacher was picky, everything had to be just how she wanted it but other than her checking over the students work every five minutes she was good. Science was my favorite class to take and I was so excited to have that class and Rainie, my sister told me she would be a great teacher. Our class had a couple of class clowns in it, but who would have thought the students would end up making our teacher cry? Eighth grade was definitely difficult my science teacher, Mrs Prescott knew what she was doing and boy that made the class then times harder she was willing to do anything to help me out. She was not hesitant to call home to a kids parent in front of the class if the next day there was no homework brought back. Once a month we went on a field trip to E.O Wilson Biophilia and it was always a blast studying different types of animals and learn about the environment. Middle school wasn’t exactly a walk in the park but it was not too far from it.
Just like any freshman in high school I was very nervous about coming up to the high school but thankfully my sister and her friends were seniors so they made me
I attended Heritage Middle School in East Cleveland. There were kids coming from everywhere: Superior Elementary, Caledonia Elementary, Chambers Elementary and Mayfair Elementary. I had came from Mayfair Elementary school. Middle school was definitely different from elementary school, there was a lot to get used to. The first day of school is always nervous to me, before I get to my class I’m wondering will I have the some of the people I had in elementary school. I was a little relieved to see some other the people I knew in my class. But the other faces I wasn’t familiar with . Switching class was hard to do at first do as time went on it got easy. Having more than one teacher was a huge adjustment for me because just two months before
My first day in middle school didn’t seem that much different than elementary school only thing that was different was that we switched classes but we had our teachers telling us where to go for our next classes so it wasn’t hard. On like the third day of middle school I was very confused because we had all the big 7th and 8th graders there and the teachers weren’t helping us and telling bus where to go anymore so I would be late to class and my teachers would be mad. It was hard for me to transition to having several teachers instead of one because all of my teachers were very different we had some teachers that were cool and then we had some strict teachers. The work didn’t get much harder math did but not any other subjects, math was very difficult
Starting 6th grade as a “Deer in the Headlights” on the first day of school, to falling on the ice on the Snoopy ice skating rink during the art field trip, my two years in Middle School have been great. All my middle school teachers have been excellent, I have loved all of them.
Starting high school was nerve-wracking for me just like everyone else. I had made the Varsity competition cheerleading team as the first Freshman to do so. I was also one of the first three Freshman to audition and make it into the Wind Ensemble, the top band. Being a Virtual Performing Arts School, where arts are weighed as college courses, it was very competitive to get in. I was surrounded by upperclassmen on both ends of the spectrum and was determined to prove myself.
Middle school is full of good and bad memories. After being here for four years you develop all sorts of memories that you may not even want to remember. There is one memory from my eighth grade year that I will never forget. Being a water girl for the middle school football team was one of the most exciting extra curricular activities I did.
A lot of things that she said were so interesting to me, and the fact that she was so passionate about the kids, made me feel like I was sitting in the classroom with her watching her teach. She was also very specific when talking about whether she felt that she could direct an aide, when she said that as long as they were both there for the kids that she could direct them. I thought that was so important in making sure that not only my behavior and passion is to be there for the kids, but also that anyone who I let in the classroom that I make sure that there first priority is to be there for the children as well.
arguably the best poem of all time. In just three short but powerful stanzas, Silverstein is able to
My last two periods were at mrs cerda’s class where we did social studies and mr xiatrays pe class where we learned how to play capture the flag. Overall my first day at middle school was pretty good compared to my second.
It was high school; what was I to expect? Hundreds of individuals trying to find their way to their new classes, just like me. You have different people in every class, and sometimes you have to cross the school just to get to one school. I thought I wasn't going to survive. However, I did, fortunately for me, and it was one experience that was totally different from middle school.
I am kind of nervous to go to Nature Coast High School next year. It is going to be a big leap from middle school to high school. Plus our middle school is not like a regular middle school. We don’t do gym, clusters, lockers, etc… So it is going to be really different next year. Especially because I am going to be the shortest one in the whole school!
This was a really hard time for me .Because high school was a new environment for me and I had to get used to it. For my first year of high I was in and out
I remember my first day of summer school at St. Paul like it was yesterday. It was warm day in July and I was telling my dad how nervous I was going to high school for the first time. He was telling me ill be fine and to not stress so much. I came in a little timid but as the day progressed, i met people and talked to teachers and soon I became confident in my new surroundings. This incident can be applied to my whole high school experience.
A sidewalk protects one from the dangers of the road when you need to go somewhere. It keeps you going towards the destination and helps to give one’s paths to follow. Even though it does influence one's direction, it still gives options. Some options might have danger like crossing the street but it will continue to have a plan for you.
A sidewalk is a safe place for us and children to walk so they are not in the way of cars. Sidewalks are for walking, they have cracks and potholes like people. They have different colors and different textures that make them up just like people in their cultures and situations. Sidewalks guide people on where to go like some people show others where to go.Some sidewalks are smooth, neat, and clean with the grass trimmed just so on the sides but you cannot see what is underneath. Sidewalk always begin somewhere and end somewhere. Through my life I have kept the part of me that people see neat, clean, and smooth, but on the inside i’m shattered.
Middle school: a time of change, new beginnings, and more friends. Switching from the grade school to the middle school came with more responsibilities. I now had to ride the bus to and from school, instead of my parents taking me everyday. Going to the middle school also meant having to change classes. We would not be stuck in the same room all day anymore. This made me nervous that I was not going to be able to find my class, or I was not going to make it on time.
