We made it. Not all the way but through 8 years. Welcome family, friends, and teachers to the class of 2021’s eigth grade graduation. Thank you for all the support and guidance you have given us over the years. My middle school years have made me realized many things, especially the importance of being yourself. I know that is a really cliche thing to say but it is true. I have learned that during middle school everyone is trying to figure out who they are, and many people will, I guess you can say try on different personalities, until they find the one who fits them best. So you never really know which personality you will get each day. You will probably expect me to tell you about how wonderful our grade is and how perfect everyone is, …show more content…
They never show who their real self is. So, how can you have real friends if all you are doing is covering up who you are? My biggest question was why do people do this? Is it to be popular, but in the process not caring who they push down, to get attention? Even though I have been here since 4th grade I was still looking forward to meet some new people. I met some people who were nothing but fake to me. They would tell me I’m their best friend then talk about me behind my back. I’m pretty sure that is not how friends are supposed to work. The other types of “friends” that I got to have were the ones who would only be friends with you when it was convenient for them. It went on like this for a couple of months. It seemed like I would never find anyone real. Until I met some other girls, was it possible that someone at our school wasn’t fake? I guess so; they are always there for me to celebrate with me in the good times, and stay by my side when life gets a little messy. Other then their glowing personalities, they are so honest with me always makes me think of how lucky I am to have met them. They never cease to put a smile on my face every
Good evening, parents, teachers, and fellow students. We are here tonight to honor our 8th graders from Heninger Elementary K-8 who have worked very hard to make to it where we are tonight. I’m one of the very lucky students that attended since pre-k and in my time here I have learned many things, not just educational but also life lessons as well and found many friendships. My fellow classmates and I are here tonight at our 8th grade promotion from Heninger Elementary. We are the graduating class of 2018!
Good Morning, Mrs. Williams Jones, Mrs. Babb, Mrs. Semper, Mr. Heaton, 8th grade teachers, families, friends, and the graduating 8th grade class. Thank you, for that very kind introduction, (INSERT NAME OF PERSON WHO INTRODUCED ME). And thank you, all for being here today at our graduation to celebrate our achievements and success. Most of you might know me, but for those who don’t, I am Jassnjot Kaur. I have been attending PS124 for nine years and I’m honored to speak to you today as your Valedictorian. Today is a very special and memorable day for not just me, but for all of us which includes us graduating students, our proud parents, and our pleased teachers.
Middle school was a journey that allowed us to figure out who we are and allow us to mature a little. Growing up doesn’t mean that we cannot act like kids.Someone once said, “Age doesn't define maturity. Some people will never grow up.”
Dear administrators, teachers, parents, beloved friends, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 8th grade graduation. It’s a pleasure to be standing in front of you today on this beautiful day to express the happiness we all feel.
Good morning, seniors and faculty. Today, I have the honor of addressing one of the most unique, talented, and resilient classes ever to attend Newfield High School. I hope that the advice I have to offer you today will enlighten you as well as your successors. Now, since graduation is a congratulatory occasion, before I get started, there are people who must be acknowledged and to whom respect is due.
Middle school is known as a time to mature for high school. For me, there were many changes I underwent after coming to the middle school.
Many people have changed going into middle school. People transfer schools, make new friends, develop new habits, and become a good or bad influence. Students also change their appearance. Sometimes kids just plainly stay the same.
Middle school was mysterious like unsolved puzzles. The mysterious part about middle school is what people think about you and why you care about everyone’s opinions. School taught me a few things other than classwork and homework. During the summer of 2017 and I used to believe that I could rely on other people who I thought were my friends. Plentiful compliments and support from my little-known acquaintances used to make to me feel better about myself. This is why I now believe that happiness is a choice that comes from you.
Middle school is no-one's favorite time. It’s that awkward transition from childhood to young adulthood, where students begin to determine who they want to be. I was a student who kept to myself and devoted most of my time to academics, maintaining only a small group of friends and never straying far from my comfort zone.
It did not take very long for me to realize that middle school really wasn’t all that bad, there were many aspects that I actually liked more. For me, not wearing uniforms was a big deal, although it rarely strayed from jeans or khaki shorts, being able to wear what I wanted gave me a sense of freedom. On top of this, passing periods gave me the opportunity to roam the halls and talk
Congratulations! You have been officially accepted to Motlow State Community College. We have received all of the required admission materials, and your file is now complete.
I started writing my first real essay in the Eighth grade, and I never knew why I was given such an awful task. I am a terrible English/Writing scholar and I never could comprehend the concept of writing. I put a lot of work and heart into my first essay, but that still didn’t get me the grade that I wanted. Needless to say I got a “D” on the essay. I was extremely disappointed in the grade I made and I wanted to reject writing all together, but that is not the kind of scholar I am, so I began my journey during my Eighth grade year to become a better writer. I had many academic goals that year, but my main goal was to excel on the English state writing test at the end of the year. The test would determine if I moved on to ninth grade English or if I would get placed in a pre-high school English program. To achieve my goals I knew that I was going to have to work hard not only on developing the papers I write, but also making sure they are grammatically correct, interesting, and that each story or essay gets the main point across as well.
The big thing for me in middle school is the fact that I am changing. I am getting stronger, faster and smarter because of me changing. My interests are changing a ton because I’m trying to figure out my life and still make friends and be me. I’m also starting to notice girls quite a bit and begin to figure out my friends and such.
High school is supposed to be the place where you have fun and a time in your life you’re supposed to enjoy. Movies often trick you into believing that high school is an amazing time in your life and there is nothing but parties and fun. In Bring it on, they portrayed the fun and exciting part of high school cheer-leading, however they intentionally leave out the tough times high school students’ face in school and in their practices. In other popular movies, such as High School Musical the students have no pressures other than the next basketball game. In reality, this doesn 't happen. The constant pressure is affected by the grade level you are in. In high school, students can be classified based on the pressures that are faced in each grade level into the categories of freshman, sophomores/juniors, and seniors. I am here to help you make your high school experience less stressful.
English class seemed to be the most dreadful to take within school. Writing essays for most of my grade in a class is not what I was looking forward too. When I entered college I knew that it would be one of many challenging classes I would have to take. Starting from the lowest English class to moving on up, the writing assignments became longer and more thought out. The time came when I got into this class that I knew more work was going to have to be put into essays and thus brought out what I had not seen before in my work progress.
