Dear 7th graders hey you made it to seventh grade. Im am going to tell you about some of the classes that you will have to go to this school year.
First in comm you have to make sure to keep your reading goal up because it is hard to catch back up. You will have many things to do the same week like your lit circle and vocab. Lit circles are where you teacher gives you a book to read and you get to talk about it to others students in your class. Every three weeks you have to finish 300 pages don't wait tell last minute because it sucks. If you get an easy button dont use it right away because it will be extra credit towards the end of the year.
Second class is social studies it is similar to Mr.Jacobs but you get less homework to do. I liked the presentation because we got to pick whoever we wanted but it had to do with the topic.

My favorite thing about science is worm dissection, owl pellet dissection, and pickle dissection. The worm dissection was not that bad don't be scared to touch the worm. The owl pellet is neat you get to see what the owl eats and find the bones from the owl pellet.
Fourth class is exploring tech its all hand on you get to build a bridge than you get to test with a bucket and pebbles from the playground. Next project is co2 cars. I liked this one a lot because you get to use sharp materials like a band
Hi today I want to say what a great year we have had and for the fourth graders and under it's going to be a great time here all the way to fifth grade. You might meet some new friends you might not you might like something new like math or science but my point is change is sometimes good and dont be afraid of change.
My passion for science became prominent in my freshman year of high school. That year, I was introduced to Pre-AP Biology, and I enjoyed it beyond measure. We learned about living beings and how they worked from the most general of ecosystems they lived in all the way down to the insides of their cells. My teacher made sure to push our limits of what we could learn, and although many people despised it because of this, it helped my knowledge of science grow stronger. One of the most memorable moments from that class was when we dissected a pig. Although most dissections during high school just end with a mangled pig and little to no knowledge from the encounter, we went through each and every organ and made sure we knew the function and relative
Time management is extremely important. Make sure to write down all the assignments, readings, due dates, and test/exam dates. Make sure to stay organized, that’s the most important thing! Never fall behind on the work and never cram!! It is impossible to cram for this course, I know you may think differently, but you will learn either the easy or hard way that cramming is not the answer. This course may sound scary, but just relax! Maintain a positive attitude, good study habits, and time management skills and you will succeed! GOOD
In high school, I always looked forward to science class—Biology and Anatomy and Physiology the most. Life, creatures, and the science behind it fascinated me (and still does to this day). I was with classmates that did not have the greatest interests in science like I did, but it made me more motivated.
Secondly, I have been really enjoying the Honors Seminars that are available to honors students of all colleges. As a Liberal Arts student, I am not focusing so much on the hard sciences. However, I went through various STEM schools from K-12 and am still interested and Honors Seminars give me the perfect chance to both explore say, how a phone works from engineering professors or how chemicals impact our living environment, while still earning credit. The most impactful Honors Seminar that I've had thus far has definitely been Reality 101: A Survey of the Human Predicament taught by Nate Hagens. This class was one of the most, if not the most, impactful and important experiences that I have had the opportunity to take. This class combined all the other classes that I have taken separately in the past and included topics such as, economic growth, poverty, inequality, ocean acidification, human evolution, human behavior, biodiversity, and more, into
I'm going into 7th grade this year, (I know, you probably just lost some respect for me, but still), and the things that I experienced last year are for sure something that needs to be talked about.
Back in elementary school, I generally had a great distaste for everything science; I preferred math. Science seemed too simple and I disapproved of the slow-moving pace. One day a year the school hosted Science Matters Day, my favorite people, Scientists, were invited to visit; they brought all kinds of fun activities. One of my favorite memories of all has to be the day they made a hard-boiled egg sink into a bottle. The experiment was still simple, but it was different from anything we had ever done before. This experiment included the use of a flame to produce heat and create pressure. I thought it was interesting, and I was hooked.
There are a lot of changes in 7th grade and a lot of the changes are really important in 7th grade, so here are 5 tips to help you as a 7th grader.
Science has become my favorite subject over the years, especially Chemistry. Taking AP Chemistry was the best decision I ever made because I instantly fell in love with chemistry. It was an interesting course that gave me insight on random things like why it rains. We did many cool labs, and I got to use tools and machines that I never would have used before in my life. For example, I got to use a spectrophotometer to record absorbtion of light in a solution. My favorite unit in chemistry was by far Intermolecular forces. They helped me understand the interactions between substances which explained why oil floats on water. Instead of getting an answer along the line of "it is denser", I understood that it was because the oil could not break
In this letter I will tell you some things to help you through writing class and eighth grade. This is your last year of middle school so you have to have fun and get involved with the school. Follow the rules and do your work is good enough to get through this year.
I’m writing this letter to you to let you know what to expect for your sophomore year. I will be giving you some advice for some of the classes you will have to take in 10th grade. It is your second year in highschool and you still have a while till you graduate so you still have to try your best. So the classes we will be talking about is English 10 with Mrs. Ladwigs, Speech with Mr. Oakander, Health with Miss Maresh, Spanish 2 with Miss Messerer, Fitness training (weight lifting) with Mr. Worm, Economic and Business Law with Miss Gestring, Geography and American History with Mr. Vanwinkle, Biology with Mr. Carmichael, and Geometry with Backstrom. I am going to give you some tips to help you in those classes.
I am Summer Salyer I have you 7th period. You are my favorite teacher because I am not that good at math, but you explain it so well and you help people that still do not understand it. SOME teachers just give you a paper and say do it or they don’t explain it well and so I can’t do the paper. My favorite thing I have done in your class was the store coupon list we had to do on the computer. I also like your class because you are fair to people and you don't choose favorites and you are very funny in class and always have a sense of humor.I hope you have a good day.
For the first presentation, I was partners with Maddi and we conducted a lifeboat simulation to demonstrate the discrimination people face based on diversity and primary judgement. I really enjoyed watching everyone in the group share their input. I also loved how people allowed others to speak up as this does not always happen during normal class time. It was cool to see how similar our class is to the other groups I have seen attempt this task. Asking how far along in the pregnancy the woman was happened near the beginning of the exercise as well as other things like putting women and children on the boat first. I was also proud that they thought about how helpful certain people would be if something were to happen. These specific individuals
I am fascinated by the science field. It is constantly changing through new discoveries. I find it very interesting that everything in this field may not be true and can be proven wrong. There is nothing set in stone and through these new discoveries we are able to back up theories and hypotheses or prove them wrong and in turn opening up new areas of study. I also like knowing why things happen and the reasoning behind them. My favorite class right now is General Biology I because I am able to understand the body and why things happen. I am able to make connections about why things happen. We are currently learning about genetics and I am able to see that Down Syndrome also referred to as Trisomy 21. I can connect the two names together because “tri” means 3 resulting in 3 chromosomes of number 21. I loved being able to make connections where the “light bulb” in my head goes off. Another
Life in tenth grade has pretty much been just like life in first, fourth, or even ninth. It is a matter of going to school, listening in class, getting home, then doing your homework. But, sometimes somewhere in your daily routine, there are drops of inspiration and awe that you hold onto until the next class, day, or even year. Through the past few years, I have gathered much information in the intense classes, while casting the calmer ones to the side with the wave of a hand. This year in Bais Yaakov, our learning has been a bit more relaxed, which allowed me to focus more on what I can get out of the simple lessons we learn or the fascinating ideas we can derive from our day to day subjects.
