September 11, 2001 (herein referred to as 9/11) was a day in American history, which will be remembered as the most horrific attack on American soil. This attack, carried out by nineteen Islamic extremists, was associated with al-Qaeda, and involved the hijacking of four airplanes. Two of those airplanes were hijacked and flown directly into the World Trade Center in New York City, New York. The third plane’s target was the Pentagon in Washington D.C., and the fourth plane was brought down in Pennsylvania where it is believed the passengers aboard fought the hijackers. This horrific day in history cost over 3,000 people their lives, and was labeled the worst attack on American soil since the attack on Pearl Harbor during World War II.

The 9/11 incident had a lot of people lost no one actually knew what really happened at first. A lot of people were confused and shocked people didn’t know what to think all they could really do was assume. So the town evacuated it took tons of boats to get the people off of the island.

On September 11, 2001 four passenger commercial jet airliners were hijacked and as a result approximately 3,000 human lives were lost. When asked about 9/11, many can recall exactly what they were doing when they heard the news that a plane crashed into one of the World Trade Center (WTC) buildings and many Americans can tell you how it all unfolded and the reason behind such a travesty. The “official story” provided by officials, and restated by Sofia Shafquat, producer of “9/11 Mysteries: Demolitions” say that “four passenger planes were hijacked and taken radically off course, within an hour, two of the planes had flown into the enormous steel towers of the World Trade Center, creating fires and eventually toppling them” (Shafquat).

The explosion threw him against the wall, but, however, he was able to carry on to the ground floor from floor 81 in the same time the building was standing after the attack, and then it had collapsed behind him as he was escaping from the building. The attacks on September 11, 2001 had many important effects such as a change in immigrations laws, starting wars, and changed airport rules.

On September 11, 2001, the terror attacks that struck upon the American people etched a wound so deep that will take years to repair. The whole world watched and mourned as 2,977 innocent lives were taken mercilessly away by the clutches of vile people. The group responsible for these attacks had malicious intent and animosity toward the people of the free world. They took their accumulated hatred and attacked the American people. The way the American people responded was not what the terrorist group had expected.Instead of cowering in fear from the attacks as presumed, the American people began to display more patriotism and exhibit a sense of unity. While 9/11 is a day we remember the innocent lives lost to terrorism and the new sense of togetherness it founded, it is also a day that birth the term Islamophobia and gave rise to mistaken-identity hate crimes.

Law enforcement has the authority to listening in on any electronic communications with little overlooking. This means that they can get access to wiretaps, sneak and peek warrants among other provisions. The full name of the law is the "Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001”. So this act fights terrorism it also gives the federal government tools to deal with suspected terrorist activity. Since 9/11, all political leaders have sought new ways to address terrorism.

I have read the abc news article for the fifteenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center. I disagree with how they interpreted 9/11 after 15 years, because there is so much more that can mentioned in details. The new generations that are coming into this world need to know more than just how many people died in 9/11 and how we are honoring them. We need to know about how much 9/11 affected our nation as a whole. As well as all the after effects 9/11 had on America, and all of the other nations. In fact, there should be details about the persons that were behind it, and how much we have grown, or how we can keep moving forward. All of this information should written there, because this was one the most historical moments

We all remember that tragic day on September eleventh 2001. Four planes were hijacked and placed with a particular mission. Two planes hit the north and south tower of the World Trade Center. One hit the Pentagon, and one landed in a field in Pennsylvania. Many changes were made to the world because of 9/11. Some of those changes are airport security, war, and government issues. September eleventh changed the world changed for the better and worse.

A Boeing 767 containing approximately twenty thousand gallons of jet fuel flew into the North tower of the World Trade Center in New York City on a pristine morning at 8:45 a.m. on September 11, 2001. The collision left a giant opening close to the eightieth floor of the one hundred ten story skyscraper, abruptly ending hundreds of people’s lives and trapping hundreds more in the floors above. As the evacuation of the tower and its twin- the South Tower- got underway by the local authorities, television news channels broadcasted live images of what at first appeared to be a freak accident. Then, eighteen minutes after the initial plane crashed into the tower, a second Boeing 767–United Airlines Flight 175–appeared out of the sky, turned sharply

As the 9/11 attacks were happening millions of people’s eyes couldn't leave the t.v. screens they all thought only that it couldn’t be real. The assistant fire chief was talking with his men after he had his coffee when what he thought was a t.v. show came on but soon found out the terrorists hijacked a plane and crashed it. Many of the first responders were busy treating smoke inhalation when the first plane struck its target, but many others waited for their broken bones and bad burns to be treated. The emergency responders do these things every day, protect other people from getting hurt by these types of things.the noises around them was the hardest things to see happen what he heard was pain and death.

On September 11 2001 Kristen Marcinko was at the RACC college at an federal army building in reading . The 9/11 attack was in New York City and it was a federal attack and since my mom was working in a federal building they had to evacuate because they had a chance of getting attacked.

Throughout the years there are events that stay with you, and the date September 11, 2001 is one of them. The plane hijackings, attack on the Twin Towers, and plane crashes that took place on 9/11 were tragic. Though being born that year and not being able to witness the event, I feel as though it changed me in some way. This action of terrorism effected the U.S. in many ways, that would help prevent terrorism in the long run. Which would give the new generation ideas to help prevent terrorism. Despite the years that have gone by, 9/11 will always be a travesty that will be remembered.
