The vampire facelift is a procedure where a patient can rejuvenate their face without risky incisions. The doctor draws blood from the body and stores it in a tube. Then the doctor places the tube in the machine to separate the red blood cells, white blood cells, and plasma in distinct layers. The plasma and white blood cells are extracted carefully into a needle, and this mixture is injected in the particular area in the face. The repairing elements in the plasma reconstruct the damaged flesh on the face. The new tissue has more collagen to promote new blood flow back into your face. Collagen are new rooms for the cells that are open and clean (“My Business”). The Vampire facelift is an injection of magical natural properties. The plasma …show more content…
In the United States, plastic surgery has been described as a specialty that is adapting, because many of plastic surgeons have decreased their presence in hospital reconstructive practices. Many surgeons spend more time in private offices and surgical centres to change the living standards of the future (Mclnnes). Plastic surgeons tend to use Botox as a facelift, medically referred as Botulinum toxin, to smooth out fine wrinkles on the face. Botox is a neurotoxin and protein that affects the nervous system (“Botulinum”). When Botox is injected into the face, the muscle’s nerves are cut off which calms the muscle down. This way the muscles would release any tension or wrinkles. When the muscle regains its conscience, it adapts to the new face and keeps the same shape until time has accumulated. Botox is needed to be injected multiple times to see results because muscle has memory (“BOTOX®”). Another product that surgeons like to use is silicone. Silicone injections in different parts of the body has been done quite often all over the country. Silicone is, a liquid used as a filler, injected in areas that are considered low volume. This means that there is no blood flow or not enough tissue in that area. Silicone is also used to enlarge the desired parts of the body. Big beauty is what people try to meet. So silicone is an alternative harmful and cheap facelift (Singer). Human’s insecurities can be greater and sometimes need more work to get what they
It carefully and efficiently abolishes the emblems of aging by eliminating lines and wrinkles and replacing lost volume in facial tissue and contours. Extensive, scientific tests through clinical trials prove it is expansively safe product to use.
Through my research I found that Botox, the trade name for Botulinum Toxin type A, is a "neuromuscular junction blocking agent produced by the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum" ("Botulinum Toxin"). In other words, Botox is derived from the same poisonous bacterium which causes botulism - a deadly food poisoning. The Botox works "by blocking the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which results in muscle weakness. It does not alter the muscle or the nerve, but prevents the relay of information between the two" ("Botulinum Toxin"). Therefore, Botox is beneficial in the treatment of wrinkles and frown lines because it causes specific muscles to relax, which in turn lessens the lines of facial expressions. Because Botox relaxes specific muscles, it is also used to treat a variety of medical conditions dealing with muscle spasms.
A facelift or rhytidectomy requires the patient undergo surgery. This procedure work to tighten up any loose skin the patient has along with wrinkles. Once complete, the patient appears years young, and incisions are made behind the ears, under the chin or at the hairline to reduce the appearance of scars. Any excess skin is removed during the operation, and the skin of the face and neck is tightened. Remaining skin must then be smoothed before the incisions are sutured. This procedure takes up to three hours, depending on the anticipated results and the condition of the skin. Most patients find they experience minor discomfort and pain and swelling, numbness and bruising are not uncommon. The recovery period typically lasts ten days, although it can take months for the wounds
There is studies that show that Botox injections may improve facial-wound healing, and they can help minimize scars (University at Buffalo, 2006). Botox is generally known in help to reduce wrinkles. A study was done on 31 patients who had wounds to the forehead or were having elective surgery to remove skin cancers of the forehead (University at Buffalo, 2006). The researchers used Botox and saline to see which would give the best results of healing the wound (University at Buffalo, 2006). Results showed that the median scores for wounds injected with botulinum toxin were 8.9, compared to median scores of 7.1 for those injected with saline (University at Buffalo, 2006). Therefore, this study shows how Botox is a highly reliable source in helping with muscular conditions.
Botox is a form of injectable and can be beneficial to men and women in more ways than one. And how we can move away from the stigma that it is a vain procedure.
Botox is short for Botulinum Type A Toxin, a protein complex produced by a bacterium called Clostridium botulinum. Botox injection is one of the newest and among the most popular cosmetic procedures for wrinkles. Botox works magically to smooth out facial lines by preventing the muscles that cause frown lines from contracting. Only a tiny amount of this toxin is used in Botox injection for beautification purposes. According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), more than 1.6 million people received injection in 2001, which is a 46 percent increased from the previous year.[2]
There are as well hybrid varieties of fillers that are made by combining artificial fillers with bovine collagen. This kind of treatment is used to treat deep scars and wrinkles. The products mixed with collagen are only a medium for injecting; they later degrade leaving a permanent
In “The Pitfalls of Plastic Surgery,” by Camille Paglia, she argues that American surgeons are being too narrow minded with their work because they use the same models as a representation of what their clients can look like. She suggests that getting plastic surgery has become such a normal thing in America and that society pushes women to get work done in order to get that “perfect” look. Paglia also points out that plastic surgery has “leveled the playing field” with wives and their husbands mistresses (694). Also, she believes that plastic surgery is not only critical in keeping a job, but also in keeping a relationship. Although I agree with some of Paglia’s arguments, I view some of the issues differently such as, needing plastic surgery to keep a marriage, that plastic surgery is for non intellectuals, that Hollywood’s environment encourages women to change their looks, and that nothing good can come out of plastic surgery.
Attention-getter: Modern plastic surgeons can alter almost any aspect of physical appearance, from facial features to body shape.
3. No down time- When it comes to dermal fillers, it has little to no down time. Besides, one of the major drawbacks of traditional facial treatments like facelifts is the extended amount of downtime that patients may need to heal. Consecutively, this not only prevents patients from completing daily obligations, but it also keeps them out of work, which can threaten their finances.
For example, the threadlift focuses on the cheek area and folds on the nose edge. This treatment helps to correct mildly mild flow in the center of the face of the woman from 30 to 50 subtle. Many times the opposite person feels younger and does not know which treatment you are in and which area.
It is cosmetic procedures today, an increasing number of cosmetic surgery procedures are performed in doctors' offices and free-standing surgical centers (as opposed to hospitals), and more procedures are being carried out simultaneously. This increases the risk of rare but potentially fatal infections and anesthetic reactions. Furthermore, some practitioners have not completed the full 5 years of residency training required for certification by the American Board of Plastic
A academic journal written by Agarwal Pawan highlights society's misconception of plastic surgery in the new millennium. A study was conducted in India to assess the knowledge and provide evidence to support this misconception over the education of plastic surgery among the public, medical and nursing students, and general practitioners. The varying knowledge of these 4 population groups highlights the
