Becoming a successful medical assistant is not something you just do, you have to learn. Whether it's learning by your mistakes or learning how the people that surround you do it. It takes desire and willingness to do your job the right way, its the little things that make you good at it. Deciding to be an MA is not a job for just anyone, you need the love for people that the job comes with. I am pursuing a Medical Assistant Associate in Applied Science degree. I choose this major because the field of work I want to be in is more hands on. I want to be in the action, where I can be doing multiple things and always be on the move. My career goals are to graduate from Berkeley College, move on to my internship, then choose a facility to work at. As I am working as a medical assistant (MA), I would like to continue my career and go back to school, and become a registered nurse (RN). The medical profession I’ve recently decided to pursue was a certified medical assistant. You will need some type of plan before you decide to pursue in anything. It could be as simple as writing down your short and long term goals on a piece of paper .In my case, I always have something that motivates me because that will help me stay focused on achieving my goals. My motivation is knowing I will wake up to something I love doing on a daily basis once I get my career started. There are a few steps I will need to take to achieve my goal in becoming a medical assistant.
