A Career As An Administrative Assistant

The roles and responsibilities of this Administrative Assistant Position are a wide array of duties. This includes being responsible for Ryan and Derek’s calendars, scheduling any request needed, fielding phone calls, creating spreadsheets and power points, e mailing information to the center, creating and executing events, welcoming and directing visitors, filing expense reports, scheduling travel when needed, filing and data entry, updating monthly recognition, ordering supplies for the center and any other need Oakland may have.

There are numerous reasons why I aspire to be a resident assistant. The most important reason why I am applying to be an RA is to inspire, motivate and transform students. I believe that my ability to provide valuable skills and resources to my resident will be highly beneficial not only to the students that receive my help, but CCSU as a whole. For ten years I have been working as a government contractor for the Medical Countermeasures Joint Project Management Office as the Operations Coordinator / Lead Defense Travel Administrator headquartered at Ft. I believe that I will be able to effectively do the job as an Associate Secretariat Administrator considering my exposure and experience as an Administrative Staff in PSOD for more than 7 years already. Currently, I am a Senior Operations Assistant in PSPM. As a SOA, I am assisting the FI unit in monitoring the status of the projects under implementation and in ensuring that Clients comply with the ADB requirements and the Facility Agreements. One of my fondest passions is learning about the human body. I find the inner mechanisms of the human body to be extremely intriguing – the ability for so many intersecting faculties to form a cohesive, high-functioning organism is truly astounding. Student Affairs is a profession where genuine care, compassion, and communication are required in shaping the lives of the students. After observing multiple university professionals, I am sure that Student Affairs is a career suited for my personality and abilities. I am a recent graduate from Smith College. I enjoyed my time in university including my work study jobs on campus. Helping students understand and enjoy what a school has to offer is something which I have learned to enjoy. As a result, I wish to work as an Administrative Assistant at Northeastern University as the position would allow me to help students appreciate a university which provides excellent opportunities for their students.

It seemed like every day there was nothing he could think of to start up a conversation with her. Who was he fooling? Even if there was something that he could think to talk to her about, he would freeze up again and stand frozen gawking at her like the idiot he was.
