When I get older I want to have a career in kids physical therapy. I will have many struggles along the way and different things that I must accomplish to get to where I want to be in life. I know that what you think you will be as a child doesn´t always end up being what you want to put you lifes work in, but as of right now I am passionate about being a physical therapist so I am going to try as hard as I possibly can to make it happen. Kids physical therapy is when kids who have disabilities or trouble doing ordinary activities need therapy and help to get better or just to learn how to do things correctly. I want to help kids and impact their lives in a way that they are better and more active. In order to accomplish this dream I must
My career goal is to become an Occupational Therapist and specialize in pediatrics. I want to specialize in pediatrics because I have always loved to be around children and be able to help them in whatever they need. Also, pediatrics is important to me because kids are our future and if I can help kids for their future I will be glad to do so. Helping kids become more independent on their activities of daily living makes me happy because I am helping them to become more independent and make them feel like they can accomplish anything. In order to be able to do this I have to get a Master Degree and I plan on getting this degree from Loma Linda University. In five years I see myself working in the Occupational Therapy setting and working with kids. I see myself, making others
My dream is to become a Physical Therapist. I have always had a passion for helping people heal their ailments, and socially contribute in health care. As a Physical Therapist, I will be able to interact one on one with patients and provide
The article that I chose was published by Mayo Clinic School of Health Science, the title of the article is “Physical Therapy”. The article informs the reader on the roles, goals, as well as the overall definition of a physical therapist. According to the article, “Physical therapists (PTs) work with patients who have impairments, limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease or other causes.” Therefore, a physical therapist works directly with the population that has a form of impairment in their movement, whether it is from an injury or an illness. The roles of a physical therapist are examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis

Physical therapy has made a big impact on the world and has changed the way patients can be treated.
In the fall of 2017, I plan to attend Indiana University Bloomington and double major in Exercise Science and Spanish. After I earn my bachelor’s degree, I plan to enroll in the Pre-Occupational Therapy Program and specialize in pediatrics, so that I can become a pediatric occupational therapist. My college plan will take a total of six years to complete, but I am more than ready to put in the hard work to accomplish my goal.
Physical therapy provides a “hands on” approach to care and involves being very active. I have loved to be active my whole life, from sports, to hiking, to working out, I love to be always moving. That is another reason my future career is so important to me it give me the chance to continue to do what I love while helping others at the same time. I am excited to be able to share my passion for being active with all the people I care for and help them discover all they can do physically.
There are various positions in a sports medicine team such as physicians, orthopedic surgeons, sports physical therapists, and certified athletic trainers. The position in the sports medicine team that I have chose to do research over is a Sports Physical Therapist. I have always been interested in this field and I hope to pursue it in the future. Currently, I work at a physical therapy clinic called Physical Therapy Central. By having this opportunity, I am able to see what it is like to be a Physical Therapist.

Before I wanted to be a teacher but like many people was teachers don't get payed that much. I love to work will kids and I think I work well with kids to. Soon I stumbled on the idea of finding something that works with kids and a pediatrician sounded perfect. There is only one problem with wanting to become a pediatrician you have to do 8 years of collage. That's a lot of years but I'll do it if I really love it. I'm still young I have time to think or stick to this dream or pick a new one Roman Atwood taught me that I can do or be anything I want and I plan to follow my
Physical Therapy is a growing and excelling field with many opportunities involved. I have an abundance of professional goals that I am excited and eager to achieve in the physical therapy profession. After becoming licensed with a doctorate of physical therapy degree, I would like to advance and become a certified specialist in pediatrics. I know this specific interest could change as I complete my clinical experiences and am open to different specialties. Along with specializing, there are several more goals that I am motivated to achieve as a future physical therapist.
Every child gets asked what they want to be when they grow up. Some say they want to be astronauts and others say princesses. I would always say I wanted to become a doctor. As I grew older, I had never changed my mind. I hope to someday become a non-invasive Cardiologist. I chose this career because heart disease has become more of a concern in the past few years. Also, because I enjoyed working with the heart in previous medical classes I had taken in high school. I want to help people and give them a way to be healthier and live longer.
Ultimately, I wanted to become a Physical Therapist. I had always put myself in this box, I told myself that I could never be good at math or science, and to stick with what I was good at, which was art. My confined boundaries now broadened to greater pursuits. All it takes is a positive attitude and practice to develop any skill you could fathom. My physical therapist, Deron Ramos was a great influence. He did his job with finesse and he had a sense of humor that could ease even the most painful myofascial massage. I aspired to one day be as great at him, and I saw that if you are passionate about something, you can master it. My seven months in rehab enlightened me to how movement dictates our lives. My once disdain for running had now transformed into the desire to run; I was walking, then jogging, and finally running. I was in such great physical shape that I even ran in my leisure. Physical therapy not only imposes physical change on people, but it also changes
I love sports. One of my dreams is to be a physical therapist, athletic trainer, or a sports medicine doctor for the Pittsburgh Steelers. I have been watching football with my dad for as long as I can remember. For my career, I would like to go into the field of physical therapy, athletic trainer, or sports medicine at the University of North Carolina. I chose the University of North Carolina because it has a very good physical therapy program, in addition to being one of my favorite places to go and having some of my family and extended family down in the Carolina area to support me. Correspondingly, my love for sports has drawn me to sport volleyball which is my favorite sport that I am good and push myself to become even better; my main
I started off by asking David why he chose Physical Therapy as a career, he replied with, “I didn’t know what I wanted to be, but I knew I wanted it to be in the sports field.” He went on to elaborate the specific road he took, “My father is an MD, he always told me to go into medicine but the sound of that much schooling didn’t appeal to me. Ironically, I spent the same amount of time in school, anyways.” Going into further detail on his choice he stated, “I started out wanting to be an Athletic Trainer because I had a dream of working with the Lakers. Once I looked into it, I realized the lack of schedule flexibility and low pay would slowly push me away from that option. With all of the prerequisites I had done, Physical Therapy was an easy
Do you ever wonder why your body works the way it does? Those thoughts march through my brain daily. I am highly leaning towards pursuing a major in science. I am amazed at how many different parts our body consists of. Biology is the major that will fulfil my anxious mind of why people have a bloody nose out of nowhere or how good bacterias in your body work together to protect your from the deadly ones. I have always wanted to know more about my body. The human body is rather a very complex machine that is required to work 24/7 to keep the world going. My mother, a complex machine, always has a painful ankle after work. She describes as extremely sore. I figured it’s because she had a sprained ankle in the past and never fully treated it. So I decided to do some research to figure out what needed to happen to her in order for the pain to go away. With the help of a lot of research, I found specific methods that she had to go through everyday so this wouldn’t be an issue later on. Physical therapy is a great career that interest me when I think about biology. From this career I could help people who are trying to recover from their injuries.
