It was a cold November night, I did not sleep very soundly. I tossed and turned in bed throughout the entire night. I’ve had plenty of dreams before but this one struck out. I informed my mom about the dream where everything was falling apart, little knowing the dream had apparently been sent to warn me about the day I was about to face. It was morning time and the sky was clear, clear light blue painted through the horizon. There are days in life when everything goes wrong and it seemed like today was going to be one of those days.
To begin with, I woke up to a beautiful morning with the sun shining bright. I looked at my hot pink alarm clock, yearning to know what time it was. Wow, that's very strange! My alarm clock never went off, that has never happened to me before. I got up took a shower and dressed myself as my mother prepared my breakfast. On the table a cinnamon raisin bagel with plain cream cheese with a tall glass of Tropicana orange juice. I left my house every morning at 6:35 a.m. but, this morning I was exhausted and running late so I didn’t have time to sit at the table to enjoy my breakfast as usual. I glanced at the clock and it was 6:50, I began to feel a rush of adrenaline pumping through my body as I rushed to get out of the house. I slipped on my Nike running shoes and ran into the kitchen to grab my breakfast and belongings where I tripped over my shoe lace. In my left hand, my bagel went flying in the air while I could hear glass shattering with
Having a dream and living with passion is very important because I believe living without passion is like being dead. Someone like Tony Hawk could agree. Tony Hawk has been a professional skateboarder for over 24 years. However, he did not receive that title overnight; Tony got his first skateboard when he was only 9 years old. Since then, Tony worked extremely hard and put a lot of his focus on skateboarding. He did it because that was his Dream. Tony’s Dream was frowned upon by many of his teachers and adults alike. One of his teachers even told him that he “would never make it in the workplace if he didn’t follow directions exactly” (Hawk), but he never gave up his Dream. He kept working hard and eventually became a pro at the young age of 15.
I woke up and rustled all my things together and jetted down stairs. I see my mom across the room eating her favorite cereal, Lucky Charms. I slugged around the kitchen still half-awake trying to find a bowl, cereal, and milk. Then I heard a whistle and realized she had my breakfast ready on the table. I sat across from her on the table. The scent of perfume hit my nose, it smelled fruity. Her hair was combed back into a sleek bun. She was wearing a formal white shirt and a black skirt and some heels. I slurped the last of the milk as she was almost out the door. I walked outside and ran to the car. I opened the door and got inside. It was 7:59 am.

Beep! Beep! Beep! My alarm clock went off at 8 in the morning on a beautiful Friday morning in Brockton. It was kind of hard to believe because Brockton was probably the most destructive city on the planet. Well, at least in my opinion it was. It was the month of May, which meant school is almost over. I was 9 at the time as well. I woke up and jumped right out of bed. I could smell the delicious pancakes being baked in the kitchen by my mother. I ate 2 and then got ready for school. I got dressed, brushed my teeth, washed my face and headed out the door, which was my usual routine every week day morning. I headed to the bus stop and on my way there, I had a bad feeling about something, like as if something were to go wrong, like something really terrible would happen to something. Or even someone. I tried to ignore it and get through this day as soon as possible as usual, but today was not like any other day, for something horrific occurred on this very day.
Thesis Statement: Dreams are successions of images, emotions, and sensations that occur subconsciously during sleep.
It was about three hours till sunrise, when I felt my mom shaking my shoulder trying to rise me from my sleep; saying, “I’ve over slept, get up and get in the shower you have less then an hour”. In a haze I rose from my bed dragging my feet behind me, as if they were connected to chains. I then lagged into the shower, upon getting out my mother appeared, “what is taking so long hurry up”! I then only slightly quickened my pace, for I had yet to come upon any type of energy at that hour. Next, thing I know of put on all of my regulation safety clothes and headed towards the car.
This part of the text was confusing and significant. The mother referred to Jonas's feeling of wanting in the dream as the Stirrings. The actual definition of the Stirrings is a bit confusing; there is no direct explanation of them in the Stirrings in the text. Perhaps it is the feeling of desiring someone the way Jonas had wanted Fiona, sexual desire, that every adolescent feels once they come of age. Conceivably, the Elders deemed that treatment for the Stirrings is mandatory so that it would be easier to regulate the community. If there are no emotional outbursts, it would be more likely that the majority of the citizens will obey the laws, ensuring that no crimes take place. In our societies, many problems such as heartbreak, betrayal,
On Monday October 29,2017 I woke up in Haverhill, Massachusetts at 7 in the morning, but that morning didn't feel like I was in Haverhill. I woke up in a daze,my mother on the other side of the door, “ Babez wake up it’s 7 now”. The daze could have been from the fact that I got an extra hour of sleep and I was too comfortable to get up, however it wasn't the first time I had slept in. While getting ready time seemed to be standing still, Completing my hair and makeup perfectly(...well to me) in under twenty minutes and I looked presentable, but I wasn't mentally there. Something was still off and I couldn't figure it out. Dismissing it I go downstairs to wait for my mom, we all know twenty minutes isn't enough for the majesty herself. I decided it would be a good idea to warm up the car and scarf down some waffles at the

Long before we discover who we are, our paths are already set in stone. Some may never figure out their purpose in life and some will. There are a lot of us who are caught up in this hell we all live in, content with being blinded by rules and judgement. We live in a world where it is okay to follow rather than to lead. In today 's society being a leader may cause trouble for the system we are all accustomed to. Being a leader in this day and age can make you a threat. Not many people stood up against the system we all call life. Toward the end of our first 10 years into the millennium we heard a voice. A voice who spoke of vulnerabilities, other human emotions, and issues never before heard so vividly and honest. This is the story of a young man who not only believed in himself, but his dreams too...
“Take every chance you get in life because some things only happen ONCE!” You only get one in a million chances to make your dreams come true. Traveling to China has always been a dream of mine. Beijing has beautiful sights to see! Taiwan has delicious foods to eat. Shanghai has many animals to see. Therefore, China has been my dream.
I jolted awake in fear. I had a dream. A weird dream. A vivid dream. It was full of people shouting and bright flashes of light. It was confusing yet clear, like some part of me understood it. I didn’t know it would be important then but now I know. How? Well, it happened like this…
I walk up with a start sweating heavily and breathing hard. I look over at my sister to make sure she was alright, I then let out the breath I was holding "thank god it was just a bad dream". The clock on the bed side table reads 4:00, great might as well just start getting ready. I then head to the bathroom to do my morning routine and take a shower. After I was done with everything in the bathroom the clock reads 5:30 so I decide just to wake up my sister. I nudge her and all she does is rolls over, so I then pulled her blanket off of her and she whispers "five more minutes", I just laugh and pull her off the bed, she then starts yelling at me so I take that as the sign to leave the room and see if my parents are up.
