When two worlds collide I sprinted through the streets, it was just about to hit curfew and I couldn't afford to miss it yet again. I sprinted past Miss Lemrac's tent and into my quadrant. Just as the sirens sounded I had made it inside. It was at that moment I heard a piercing scream, someone had not been so lucky as me, the Wächters had found someone who was out too late. Too often had I heard those screams, but that was life here in Berlin, there was no other option, we knew that. Just then a Wächter opened the tattered folds of my tent, one click, the daily roll call. I used to live with my parents, but I lost them a few years ago, I'm not sure exactly how long, the Wächters don't tell us anything. The sirens tore through the night again, dinner was served. I crept through dark paths lined with tents filled with people who acted like savages. This was not the Germany I anticipated when I arrived. I knew that Wächter program went haywire, but I didn't expect the rest of the world to be living like animals in just a few years. I went through my history classes at school quickly in my head, Emerich Von Striser of Germany in an attempt to end the war that had arisen with the east, developed a sentinel program to fight the axis powers. None of us realised just how good the robots would be at their job. It turns out you can create peace by destroying civilisation, or at least everything that it stands for. Except England, the last nation that had nuclear weapons. Our two worlds, England and the sentinels live on a knife edge treaty. If they attack us then we will destroy the earths forests, the only thing that will stop the Wächters from attacking us. They are programmed for peace and they will make sure that happens. I just wish I didn't make it my job to spy on
