Below is Nelson’s first draft of Anne obituary, which he first wrote on December 30, 2008.
This is Anne Hou from MCB 450. I was told by TA Xingchen that he had sent you his letter of recommendation. This is a follow-up email to see what should I do next. Will you be sending the letter to Dr. Fratti and then he will submit the letter online after he signs it? I had sent the link Dr. Fratti on where to submit the letter.
In her Poem “An Answer to a love-letter,” Lady Mary Wortley Montagu (1921) says, “How vile is man! how I detest their ways/ Of artful falsehood, and designing praise!” Here Lady Mary is trying to persuade her readers that men are ruthless, sex driven, soothsayers that are only interested in self-satisfaction and what is new. The way in which lady Mary tries to persuade her readers is by exposing the “art “of man’s deceitful ways. In this piece, Lady Mary appears convinced herself that women will soon be able to see beyond men’s wicked ways and reminds women that they are a “beauteous bride” deserving to be treated as such.
I miss the warmth of your embrace every night. You are always the perfect end, and the best part of every day. I wish I could spend all day under your blankets, but sadly I can not. No matter what season, you are always the perfect temperature and you always make sure that I get a good night’s rest. I do not know what else I could ask for. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me and I can not wait to see you tonight!
During the Holocaust 6 million Jews died, but some people were brave enough to help others. Sir Nicholas Winton was one of those people, and so was Annemarie Johansen. Moreover, Sir Nick was brave and saved 669 children, and Annemarie was brave because she helped protect Ellen.
It can be easily said that the intended audience for this letter was to Marie Antoinette’s mother, Maria Theresa the empress of Austria. Marie states several times throughout the letter of her many thanks to her mother for the reciprocating letters. The excitement in Marie’s tone is evident that she is astonished, despite the chaotic excitement upon their arrival, the amount of order there is. Marie is overjoyed that despite the hardships that the peasants faced, such as taxes, they remain loyal to her and her husband Louis, and show their affection with cheering and excitement. In response to the love that they received, Marie makes a point to tell her mother that the dauphin and herself wished the citizens not to be harmed despite the fact that they were unable to move for hours from the sheer masses of people who gathered upon their arrival.

The events recounted in Anne Frank’s Diary took place during World War 11. By 1933, the strongest party in Germany had gained ultimate power with Hitler under their command. Hitler was Germany’s dictator who spread his gospel of racial hatred through politics. While poverty and unemployment were at an all time high he launched a campaign of anti-Semitism. Hitler’s main target was the Jews, claiming that they were “racially inferior.” He developed an idea of a Master Aryan Race, the need to rid Germany of “inferior people”, such as Jews and Gypsies, and the need to expand Germany’s borders. In doing this, he caused many Jews to abandoned their homes and go into total isolation. The Frank family
In the book Coming of Age in Mississippi by Anne Moody she was influenced by man things such as her race, gender, socioeconomic status, religion, and education. I think she wrote this book to show people what is was like growing up during the 1940s. How hard her life was during this time period and what is was like being African American. She also wrote it to show the development in her life and how it shaped her for the rest of her life. I think the greatest influence in Moody’s life was her race because when she was little she was always curious about the difference between white people and black people, as she grew up she would become furious when there was violence against black people,
Novelist Anne Roiphe once said, “Grief is in two parts. The first is loss. The second is the remaking of life.” In the summer of 2012, I was living that quote. My whole life was torn apart at the seams, and I had to rebuild from the ground up.
In Anne Bradstreet’s poems over the deaths of her grandchildren, the reader is able to see that she is struggling to find a balance between her grief and her faith. This can be seen in each one of her poem’s, as Bradstreet tries to justify the Lord allowing her grandchildren to die at such a young age. She is shown to be wracked with grief at each death, and seems to question why it happens more and more each time. She describes her “troubled heart and trembling hand” as well as her “throbbing heart.” She is somewhat cheered in her knowledge that she will meet the children again some day, after she passes. This can be seen in the lines “Farewell dear child, thou ne’er shall come to me, But yet a while, and I shall go to thee.” In her final poem Bradstreet can be seen to struggle even more as this is the third of her grandchildren that has passed away so far. She states that the children were “Cropped by th’ Almighty’s hand; yet He is good.” She knows that God has a reason for allowing her grandchildren to die at such a young age, however she is seen to be disturbed by the fact that He is the one that has taken the lives of someone so close to her.
A Valediction: Forbidding Mourning is one of those stories that the reader needs to pay close attention to because of how many messages it points out to those who always feel the need to have their relationship out in the open. The writer has a lot of valid points on how to keep a healthy relationship and not to worry about him while he is gone because it simply proves that they have a stronger relationship because they don’t show any pda. From earlier, like it was mentioned with the main messages, it ranges from many different themes and messages. Him not telling her to worry about him, not to show any emotions towards him leaving, and telling his wife that he will be back in no time so there is no need to worry over him while he is
