A Message to Garcia starts off about a man that is somewhere in the woods that nobody can find or get in touch with. So they find someone who they vaguely explain to, to deliver a message to Garcia. Without question or hesitation, he goes. After three weeks in the jungle, he delivers the message. The author then explains the importance of doing things without hesitation and to just do what you are told. The Commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen Robert B. Neller, recommended this book to me. This book lived up to my expectations because the author had made a valid point. If people would follow simple instruction without asking a hundred questions, tasks would get done faster. This book did not teach me any new lessons. The part I found most
In the essay “A Message to Garcia” an American soldier was chosen to deliver a message to General Garcia the leader of rebel forces during the Spanish American war. The soldier does eventually deliver the Presidents message without knowing what the message contained. This solder eventually and not without obstacles and doubting times did so without question. This soldier completed his task without asking how or why and without delay. In addition, this soldier was able to accomplish this with every imaginable obstacle that could be found when encountering a hostile country on foot.
In 1511 I served as a soldier in an expedition of Cuba which was ordered by Diego Velazquez.I ignored his orders and decided to travel to Mexico instead,I brought 500 men and 11 ships with me in 1519.I first arrived in Cozumel, and began to explore the land for colonization.
I believe the lesson to be taken from A Message to Garcia is to do your assigned tasks without asking questions. If you are told to do something, you were specifically told because you were picked of all the other people in your vicinity. No matter the task, you are held responsible. Any task you have is Garcia and you must complete that task and carry the message to Garcia. The length of the assignment depends entirely on your individual choice. If you waste time by asking questions, you needlessly prolong the journey and the task inevitably gets difficult because of the procrastination. Garcia doesn’t want to wait for you, he’ll move around, making it harder for you if you waste time. If you get straight to work, the length will be shorter and will be easier. You should be able to

I Jonny Garcia Esquivel, 14 years ago, decided to enter the United States with the help of my sister Angelica Garcia Esquivel. At that time I did not have resources to pay someone to cross me. That's why my sister paid someone to help me cross the border, at that moment I was still a minor. With only my 16 years I ventured to cross the line in a closed van (van white). The van had no seats in the back, so that in this way the trunk out wider. I remember we were like 8 people and we came lying and hiding in the trunk of that truck. At the end we were unlucky and border patrol caught us. They took an office was about 8 or 9 pm I think, where officers proceeded to take my photo and fingerprints. In the article, A Message to Garcia, Hubbard talks about how a man name Rowan who was asked to deliver a very important message to Garcia. This message was very important and needed to be delivered to him but the problem was, no one knew where he was. Rowan was called upon to deliver the message because they knew that no matter what it took or how long it would take he would get the job done. The article later on talks about those who are the opposite of Rowan. When asked to do a task, these individuals ask a ton of questions and make excuses which normally result in the tasks not getting done or passed off to someone else.
To get things successfully done, just do it. A Message to Garcia is an inspiring essay that did in fact has taught me a lesson. In my opinion, it show a great demonstration of responsibilities and self motivation. The moral character, Rowan, is presented as a role model for admiring his honor of great leadership.

These cultural songs, combined with his grandmother’s storytelling and
He got to me and looked at me with those dark, serious eyes. They scanned me from head to toe; and then he backed up and barked "Okay marines, it is time for the drill. Follow me in single order!" He led us to an obstacle course he and the other higher ranking officers had set up the night before. It consisted of the standard tire jumping, some pull-up bars, as well as ropes, and more. Doing all these drills in the sand was difficult and he had been ramping up the difficulty of each drill slightly the past few weeks; putting us to the test to make sure we were one-hundred percent ready for combat before sending us out. Matthews gave us a quick run through of what he expected of us to do. We each had to do this eventually while he timed us. We had to get better than ten minutes to do the entire circuit to get his praise. If we didn 't we 'd be barked at and forced to do the tent 's laundry for the week.
His book is very applicable when attempting to better understand the true make up of an organization like the Mississippi Army National Guard. He uses key values that describe the organization and its makeup. His article is considered valid and reliable.
