Sometimes there are many boundaries to things we desire whether itś money or certain rules that prevent us, some of us give up in obtaining what we want and have to deal with a bitter feeling, others do whatever it takes to obtain it and get the feeling of achievement. There came a point in my life that i had to make one of this decisions, I either give up or do something to acquire it.
I was getting ready to attend college and wanted something nice for transportation even though i drove a pretty decent car by this time, it was a V8 91 rs camaro that my dad bought when i was still in highschool, I did not like it but at the same time did not dislike it, I felt neutral towards it. I wanted a car so I wouldn’t have to rely on my dad for taking me to work, school, and other places. I had money saved up from previous summers, but it wasn’t enough to buy a car. I worked at Safeway during this time as a courtesy clerk. I hated this job because I would have to go outside and push carts during the hot summer and rainy days. I dreaded going to work when I saw how hot it was going to be, but I stuck with it. After some very long months at a job I didn’t like, I had saved up enough money to buy my own car. I was very proud of myself that day.

Out of all the advice I have ever been given, I think that the most valuable I have ever received is try your hardest and never give up. After all you have done, at the end of the day, if you have not applied your very best, what is the point of showing up? If the task set before you is a sports game or a school assignment, don’t give up before it’s even started. Even if you don’t succeed, you will know that you put forth your best effort, but next time you will do even better. To me, this piece of advice sticks out because, as of now, I am trying my absolute best at this application, as well my hardest in school. At a softball game, or a history exam, my best effort with be applied. I have let this be a flashlight in my life; it has helped
However, if we choose to give up on ourselves in the middle of the journey just because we have low self-esteem and do not believe that others can support us, we can never be successful. Hence, only the person who endures throughout the journey and believes strongly in hope is qualified enough to be successful.

“All these kids have given up, all your friends, all the bullies and their mothers and fathers have given up too. And their grandparents gave up and their grandparent before them and me and every other teacher here we’re all defeated” (Mr. P p.g.42). The people that Junior has lived with and the people of the rez have given up. The only education the students habituate is to how to give up. “The only things kids are being taught is how to give up.” (Mr. P pg. 43). Junior had learned about this after he hit Mr. P in the nose with a geometry textbook and Mr. P visited his house. Rowdy is a good exemplification of an Indian who has given up. Rowdy beats up people because he has given up. As Mr. P said on page 43 “your friend Rowdy he’s given
I chose a small home, because I don’t need much. I don’t want a really large home, and pay the bills for something I don’t need. I also chose the Sedan, even though it isn’t the best car out there. It will get me to where I need to go.
Often times it can be difficult if not impossible to make what you think at that moment will be the right choice. One of the biggest factors that will hold people back is that to too often than not we are not completely clear on what type of result or outcome we want from a situation. Think about it, if you don’t really know what kind of result you want it is going to be pretty hard to know what choice is going to be the right one. So what do you do? You get a clear understanding, before you make any choice. Think about its effects in the long term, and short term. Knowing exactly what you want is very powerful. We have all heard the golden rule; do onto others as you would have them do onto you. This is probably one of the most important ideas to keep in mind when making good choices. When we are young a lot of us develop this me, me, me, attitude. We want all the toys, and we don’t want to share. Now this mentality may get us a lot of toys, but it defiantly doesn’t help you make friends. In this day and age a large part of personal success is based on working with others to achieve our goals. If we can help others get what they want, it will be much easier and they will be much more willing to help us get what we want. So when making any choice it is always ideal to think about how can I
Buying a car can be one of the happiest times of a young adult's life, but when they find out the cost of a new car it gets scary. As a young adult, he or she may not be able to buy a brand-new car so they will need to buy a used car. I remember buying my first used car very well, it was About three weeks ago.
