“Lilly, why do you care so much about him? He abused you, he hurt you, he made you feel like trash. Isn’t that why you ran away?” Nile asked in a defensive manner,
“Y-Y-Yes, but that doesn’t mean I don’t still love him, I mean, I know he’s hasn’t been the best father, but he is still my father, and that means something to me. He’s family. I know you don’t care about yours, but I still care about mine,” Lilly said calmly, drying her tears. It was no surprise to them that she still cared about her father. She cared about everyone. She just was that way, and they all loved her for that.
“Okay, Lilly. If you love your father then I stand by that,” Nile said with the most excellent composure.

“Me too, now that we have that out of the way, let’s eat. We will think about all of this later,” Nile calmly states. Nile was the only one with an appetite after that conversation though, and there was not one moment that Rose wasn’t thinking about Lilly’s father. She knew she needed to do something, but she didn’t know what. A week went by before she finally figured out what she needed to do, but she needed to go to the hospital first and make sure she could.
