Going over the evidence, Detective Johnson explained, “We have the report back on the blood-soaked towels found in her car. We’re confident she murdered her. We’re ready to arrest her,” Detective Johnson said, his partner agreed. “If you have the evidence; go ahead,” Lieutenant Dobbs said.
“Thank you,” the detective said, returning to the office with his partner. “Marlene Barnes, you’re under arrest for the murder of Katherine Lincoln. Please come with me,” Detective Wallace said, placing handcuffs on her, Stomping her feet and screaming, she was innocent they handcuffed her. The officer testified he and his partner were dispatched to 3465 E 34th Street, where a neighbor reported finding a woman’s body. When they arrived, they found the body lying in a pool of blood near the side of the house. Later they identified the victim as Katherine Lincoln and called for backup, he did the usual crime scene lockdown and waited for the homicide team to arrive.
