Abortion I am strongly against abortion, because I believe that abortion is morally and ethically wrong. In my opinion I think that when a woman makes the choice to have intercourse there is a possibility that she will get pregnant, she is making that choice either with protection or not, and the couple should know and think that the result of having intercourse there could be a result and a responsibility and be willing to deal with the consequences of having a child. Even if the pregnancy is unwanted or unplanned. This is also include when a female gets rape, if there is a female that gets pregnant during a rape the woman should still have the child, they are so many options that a woman can do with the baby after is born, such as giving it for adoption, or letting a family member to take over the child. Getting an abortion if rape is makes me think as they are planning the death penalty for a child. The abortion movement is like a house of cards is built on flimsy foundations and misleading terms, they make us think that a human fetus is not a human person, but in reality at the moment of conception a unique organism comes to existence, and it automatically haves a DNA and is already described as a human life. Many woman think that because they are the ones that carry the child in their stomach they have the right to abort, but is not part of their stomach is actually part of its womb, and what they actually do is kill a little Humans DNA, their moral capacity.
Many people will say that rape is a reason to keep abortion legal. These people will say that this is ok under these circumstances. However, abortion is wrong if always looking at the perspective of the child. Killing a child is wrong no matter what is going on with the mother. But rape can also be considered a non argument because usually there can be so much fighting in the condition of a rape that a pregnancy is not likely to happen. Rape has one of the least percentages of people getting pregnant as a result. Therefore this cannot be used as an argument against practices such as this of any
I believe that elective abortion is wrong and should be declared illegal. Abortion should be a last resort, and used only if the life of the mother or baby is at risk. Elective abortion is the interruption of a pregnancy before the twentieth week of gestation. This type of abortion is done at the request of the woman for reasons other than maternal health of fetal disease. The debate over abortion is broken down into different sides: pro-life and pro-choice. Roughly fifty-one percent of people in the United States of America are pro-choice, or believe that women should have unrestricted access to abortion. The other forty-nine percent of people are pro-life, or are against all forms of abortion with no exceptions. There is, however, a select group of pro-life activist who have slightly different views. Some believe that only elective abortion should be made illegal, and exceptions can be made for those who face life-threatening situations during the pregnancy. Pro-choice activist argue that women should have the right to choose whether or not to give birth to the child. Moreover, those activists will point out that a child should not come into the world unwanted. Pro-life activist will argue that abortion eliminates the potential societal contributions of that future human being. Another point made by pro-life activist is that abortion should not be used as a form of contraception. The debate over the legality of abortion has led to the government stepping in. In 1973, a
Abortion has become a serious topic in American culture today. If you were to ask someone on their street whether they were Pro-Life or Pro-Choice odds are they would know exactly what you were talking about and then be able to give a clear statement of their opinion on the matter. This issue has provoked many strong opinions in people around the country, so much so that the act of abortion has been petitioned to become an illegal procedure. There are many reasons to support abortion along with hate it, but when it all comes down to it the real issue is not in regards to science but rather to morals. Abortion is morally wrong and should be illegal.
Abortion is an inhumane practice, from reading over the statistics provided over 4,000 children’s lives are destroyed in the name of choice everyday, and not mentioning, women are emotionally damaged each and every day they have to live without their baby for the rest of their life. Human life should be morally respected the exact time the child is being created, during the different stages of life until it’s natural death. Although not everyone agrees upon pro-life and pro-choice options is that most people are not for abortion at all and want the woman to have the baby. In my opinion, I am not for abortion in some cases because it’s not the babies fault when the two adults both know what will happen when they have unprotected sex, therefor on the other hand, when a girl or woman is being sexually assaulted and cannot control the situation, then I can understand when the woman does not wish to
Firstly, abortion kills the innocent lives of babies. In America, about 1.21 million abortions occur a year (National center of health). According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 3,952,841 babies are born a year. The life of every unborn baby is in jeopardy, he or she either gets the opportunity to live or he or she’s life ends. “There is no ethical defense for killing someone who is innocent, no matter how great the inconvenience to another person may be”. (Wayne Wilkins) People believe that aborting a baby won’t harm or cause pain to the unborn fetus; it’s the destruction of a conception. The power to end one’s life should be in no one’s hands.
I believe that abortion is wrong and it’s a social problem. I think that it is wrong to have an abortion because life begins at conception. Abortion is no different to murder as it is the act of taking a human life. As in California penal code 187 says murder is an unlawful killing of a human being, or a fetus with malice. I think the above definition is an easier and less aggressive way to say that abortion is the murdering of a human being. No civilized society should permit any person to intentionally hurt or take the life of another human without any type of punishment, and abortion should not be different.
I do not think abortion should be legal. There are so many things wrong about it. And the outcomes of all this can result in pain or death to both victims. It can cause pain to entire families knowing that they lost a relative due to a murder that the unborn child had no control over. Now I hope next time you start to think abortion is okay, think about everything I just talked about and i'm sure you'll change your
In America, abortions are legal. Sacrificing an unborn life in this world should be illegal. They cannot speak for themselves and don’t have a choice to live or die. Abortion should be illegal.
We can all agree that abortion is a controversial issue debated in our society today, especially in Texas, which is one of the most conservative’s states in the nation. Some people argue that abortion is morally wrong, because it has to do with ending a life which, according proponents begins at conception, not at birth. Others contest that it is a woman 's constitutional right to make reproductive decisions, particularly in situations of rape, incest, and health risks. In this paper I will survey the viewpoints regarding abortion presented by conservatives, Christian scholars, and advocates of women 's reproductive rights.
There are two great days in a person’s life, the day we are born, and the day we discover why (William Barclay). Imagine having those days being taken without even having a chance to experience them because you weren’t considered human yet. There’s an endless deliberation on abortion and whether it’s acceptable. Some feel it is up to the parent or parents and others feel it’s just outright murder no matter what. I personally am pro-choice because you never know how the child was conceived.
Abortion has always been a controversial topic since the late 20th century. Why Abortion is Immoral by Don Marquis is the discussion of whether abortion should be acceptable in our society. In this paper, I will argue against his defense of anti-abortion. First, I will show that the fetus is not considered human, so Marquis’ strategy of determining what makes killing wrong in general and applying the same reasoning to the fetus does not work. Next, I will invalidate the argument, Marquis makes, is that abortion actually deprives the fetus’s “future-like-ours.” Because of these invalid premises, I assert that Marquis fails to establish the immorality of abortion.
The morality of abortion is a topic that has long been discussed by both those for and against the act. Until 1972 when the Supreme Court case of Roe v. Wade made abortion legal in all 50 states, the act of getting an abortion was illegal in many states. Both sides of the moral arguments explain the reasoning behind their arguments. The moral question is if the act of getting an abortion is the same as murdering another human being.
Faye Wattleton, the longest reigning president of the largest abortion provider in the world - Planned Parenthood- argued as far back as 1997 that everyone already knows that abortion kills. She proclaims the following in an interview with Ms. Magazine:
Is abortion ethical? There are certain situations where it could be, such as not being able to carry the baby to term due to health concerns, emotional, personal concerns, and financial stability. However, there are certainly many situations where abortion is not ethical due to immature and careless reason between to sexual partners having sex. I believe Abortion can be ethical depending on the circumstances one is in.
I was still unable to give an exact answer on the third question, and the video could not help me on this either. When I was young, I think that abortion was very unethical, because it was literally killing lives. But when I getting older, I realized that a lot times, people can be "ethical" was only because they are not in that position. It was not as easy as somebody'e opinion that stop abortion and give birth of the baby, then send the baby to an adoption agencies. How many mothers can really do that? Even though I am not a mother, I can imagine how hard it could be to give her children to another people. I believe for most pregnant women, abortion was a helpless decision for them. However, some women got pregnant was only because their
