For pro-life supporters, they say that life begins at conception; the instant when a sperm cell unites with a egg cell. For pro-choice supporters, they say at birth, a baby is a living human. This ethical issue today is usually split in two groups, one of these views being pro-choice, giving the option to have an abortion to the family of the fetus. Abortion has been one of the biggest controversies of all time. However many People agree to disagree on whether abortion is a legal or illegal matter. Abortion is the termination of a pregnancy through removal of the embryo or fetus. I support abortion for the following reasons. Birth control failure, unable to support or care for a child, to prevent a child with birth defects or medical conditions, and a pregnancy in resulting from rape or incest. A woman should have the right to do what she pleases with her own body. For example, say a woman is pregnant with no desire of keeping the child and there was no clinic to help her remove the fetus. She’s most likely going to obtain matters into her own hands and figure a way to abort the fetus herself. Why put women in that situation when they have highly trained doctors who can remove the fetus using the proper tools with no harm done to the mother?

For recent years, people start to deny abortion and stated it as cruel and murder. While it does involve remove fetus or embryo from the mother and kill the baby before it was born, it might not be the worst thing that can happen to the baby. Most people who chose abortion is either can’t afford to have a kid or unable to take care of them. It was one of the case, while other concern about their right as a person. Some might say the baby have right to live, while others believe the mother have right for herself to do what she want to her body. The debate on abortion is not about who right, but it about the consequences of their action.

Margaret Sanger who was an American birth control activist ones said: “No woman can call herself free who does not control her own body.” I absolutely agree with her and believe that woman, as any other human on this earth is the Lord of her body and has full rights over it. I think we all can agree that a fetus can not survive outside of the mother’s body, therefore, it is a part of her body so it's her full right to decide its fate. However, many scientists argue that on the first weeks of pregnancy the fetus doesn’t feel anything and even refer to it as a parasite to a body. Abortion has been a very controversial issue in the United States for the past several decades. Many people think that is it morally wrong. To say that something is morally wrong is an opinion. Since everyone’s opinions are different on this topic there have been many court cases and protests against abortion. However there are a lot of people out there that believe that abortion is a rightful decision. Babies have no say in whether they get to choose a future for themselves. Every person deserves their right to live, and no one should have the ability to take that right away. Abortion is harmful and wrong because it is immoral to kill an innocent human being, carries out many risks that affect the mother’s health physically and mentally, and is selfish for many reasons.

Abortion is the ending of a human pregnancy. Most women choose to have an abortion because they think that they are not ready to be a mother. They think the best way to get rid of their baby is the best way to get rid of their unborn child, but there are always other choices. Just because something is legal, it doesn't make it right to do. Abortion should be illegal, because: it is the same as killing someone, it's better to give a baby up for adoption instead of taking his/her life, the baby is innocent and is not responsible for others actions, and due to the fact that most females regret having an abortion and require psychological help afterwards.

I’m against abortion because it’s killing human beings that deserve to have a life. The baby should not suffer from the lack of responsibility and bad decisions that the mother makes. There are many reasons why abortion is wrong. If it’s a late term abortion, it could be painful to the baby. It it can also be painful to the mother.
