The topic covered in this research paper is abortion. This paper looks into the history of abortion, the pro-life view of abortion and the pro-choice view of abortion. Jaden is a fifteen year old girl in high school, one night she went to a party with her boyfriend with no parent supervision so there was a lot of underage drinking, she doesn’t remember a lot from the party that night because she was under the influence, but she does remember being upstairs with her boyfriend. A few days later her boyfriend had told her that she needed to take a pregnancy test because he didn’t use protection, later that day she found out that she was pregnant. Jaden is scared to tell her parents that she is pregnant but she knows she has to tell them so they can help her get an abortion. Teens should be able to get an abortion without parental consent because taking care of a child while in high school can be challenging, it can be hard to provide for a child as a teen, and although it means you have to kill your own child, having an abortion is cheaper than taking care of a baby.

In the United States alone, over one million babies are aborted, making the counties abortion rate one of the highest among other countries. This means that one out of every four pregnancies end in abortion, one out of three American women will have an abortion by the time they are 45, and half of women seeking to abort a baby have already aborted one in the past (“U.S. Abortion Statistics.”). Since the 1930’s, the population growth in America has been the lowest because of abortion. Two generations of Americans have technically been murdered because the aborted children will not be able to have the families and lives of their own (Steven Ertelt.).

The topic of aborting an innocent fetus has been overwhelmingly controversial in the United States. The two sides to this ongoing debate is pro-life advocates and pro-choice advocates. Abortion is the ending of a pregnancy by removing a fetus or embryo before it can survive outside the uterus; whether it is an unplanned or unwanted pregnancy. Abortions are most often performed during the first twenty-eight weeks of pregnancy and can be performed as a medical or surgical procedure. Medical abortions include two types of abortion pills; while the surgical procedures include vacuum aspiration and dilation and evacuation. Ultimately, I am one of the many “pro-lifers”, and I strongly agree that abortion should be illegal because it negatively affects our people. Women across the nation are becoming impregnated and following a short amount of judgement time, turn to abortion to solve their problems but in the end hurt themselves with this decision. Abortions should be illegal because it is immoral and unconstitutional, causes severe mental and physical issues, and negatively impacts the economy. “During the ancient Roman times it has been supposed that abortion and the destruction of unwanted children was permissible, but as our civilization has aged, it seems that such acts were no longer acceptable by rational human beings, so that in 1948, Canada along with most other nations in the world signed a declaration of the United Nations promising every human being the right to life”

The Abortion stigma and healthcare disparities have always existed amongst low income African American adolescent women in the U.S. society. The abortion stigma has been described as a negative attribute associated with women who seek to terminate a pregnancy that marks them, internally or externally, as inferior to ideals of womanhood (Walden, 2011). The experience of stigma can depend on individual characteristics, such as religious beliefs, cultural values, but most importantly, economic status (Dehlendorf, C., Harris, L. H., & Weitz, T. There is a hot topic growing about late term abortion becoming legalized in the United States. This issue has divided our country, there have been many heated arguments and debates. Late Term Abortion should not be legalized anywhere because you are taking an innocent life, compromising the health of the mother, and it is taking the accountability away from the parents. So let’s explore this harsh reality of late term abortion.

Did you know 80% of women abort their kid if they have down syndrome? Abortion is where they end the baby’s life well it is still in the womb. Abortion has been an issue since the 1960’s and continues to grow today. About 1/4 of pregnancies end in abortion and 1/3 of americans before the age of 45 have gotten an abortion. ( (Guttmacher.) Abortion should be illegal considering the reasons for it, ethics and medical effects.

Abortion clinics tend to center around women only and have the men sit in the waiting area while the female goes through the process for the abortion. Meanwhile, the men sit silently alone with no service alone with no service or counseling provided in the waiting area. Men should feel welcomed and having pamphlets or brochures to help educate them and learn to cope with healing process after and during the time the make a decision to go through with the abortion. Men should feel equally treated and should be allowed to go through the decision with the women (Papworth 2011).

Abortion is very harmful to women and it violated the ethic. As a result, it should be banned in the society.

I will show the support of my opinion in term of moral. Abortion seems like immoral since it is similar to kill innocent human being. From my point of view, the fetus has already had life so the pregnant women who want to perform abortion should respect human rights of them. In addition, you are not forced being pregnant except in case of rape. So, the pregnant women and her partner should be responsible with their actions and pay the consequences. Besides, the fetus should not deserve to be punished with irresponsibility of them. However, It will be preferable to keep the abortion law because if the government provide abortion freely, it seems like that the government which is role to secure the peace to its citizen supports killing the human being. Finally, I believe that the strict abortion law is correctly tool of government on protecting the fetus’s human

In 2010, there were projected 90,000 hospitalizations recorded due to abortion complications. Abortion is a danger to the lives of many women of our country. Thus, Abortion should not be legalized in the Philippines for it is a painful surgery that could even cause further harm in physical and psychological health.
