Abortion was outlawed in the eighteenth century, and legalized in the nineteenth century. Ever since the Supreme Court legalized abortion, more than hundreds of abortions are performed daily. Abortion is a constant debate among pro-life and pro-choice. Not everybody believes or agrees with the same point of view. People argue pro-life or pro-choice, if it is murder or not, however, an abortion ends the pregnancy before giving birth thus ending the life of a living unborn child.

In the reading “In Defense of Abortion and Infanticide,” Michael Tooley argued why he thinks abortion as well as infanticide is ok. His main argument was that, “An entity cannot have a right to life unless it is capable of having an interest in its own continued existence.” He appealed to Joel Fienburg’s interest principle. Tooley says that a zygote cannot be spoken of as a subject of interest or have desires, therefore a zygote cannot have a right to life.

Abortion is the act of killing the child who is growing inside of you with giving the baby or fetus a chance to choose its own faith. Abortion is usually just trying to get rid of a mistake they made. Abortion is a terrible thing and no women should have the right to take away a living soul that God made. Women who do this can not just harm their fetus but can also harm themselves. The fetus can also feel all the pain that happens to it, which is a cruel thing to make a not even a newborn child go through. There could be many reasons as to why they get defensive over this topic, perhaps they could have had an abortion as well in the past, or somebody they know had one or they just are really against abortion. Every single person has their own view on it. For me, I am not against abortion, within circumstances. I believe that if a women was a victim of incest, or rape they should have a right to decide if they want an abortion or not. Although, if a woman had sex willingly, and gets pregnant then she should not have a choice to abortion, she needs to suck it up and take responsibility, even though there is always adoption once the time comes.

A man commits domestic violence on his pregnant girlfriend or wife and kills the unborn child is prosecuted for it. a drunk driver kills the unborn child of a pregnant women in a car accident is jailed, but the abortion of the unborn is just. Doesn't make sense does it?

All women deserve to be happy and be treated equally no matter what decision they have made in the past. It’s not just for women but for men too. But in this case I have noticed how negatively women get treated if they get an abortion. Abortion has always been a topic that has gotten my attention and women's rights has too. But I had always wondered what was the emotional affect of the women after an abortion .
