Adam Flynn is nineteen years old, majoring in criminal justice. Adam has always lived in Bridgewater, so deciding to commute to Bridgewater State University made sense as being the best choice financially. Adam’s family is very important to him. He has two younger brothers, Cam who’s sixteen and Erick who’s ten, he’s always doing what he can to help them whether that be helping them with their school work, to coaching them in basketball or baseball. He also works for his uncle’s Pizza shop, delivering. It was his grandfather who first opened the Pizza Shop out of his garage after his neighbors convinced him that the pizza was good enough to sell. His dad is his role model because he's always been there and showed him how to do all different

However, No matter what happens in the future, he will always live by the most valuable lessons he has learned: family first and live life to the fullest.
At first, I saw this as equality in the boy’s lives. Yet as I read on and listened to more of their stories I realized how different the situations were. The first difference I realized was the reason why each of the fathers weren’t present. As the other Wes states, “Your father wasn’t there because he couldn’t be, my father wasn’t there because he chose not to be” (1). Though both boys grew up without fathers, how each boy’s family reacted made the huge difference. Wes’s older brother, Tony, appeared as a great role model. He was always encouraging his younger brother to continue on his education and avoid the path in life that he took. But as most say, actions speak louder than words. And with Tony being “a veteran of the drug game at eighteen”, he didn’t provide the best example for his little brother (57). On the other hand, the other Wes found his need for a male figure in his grandfather. What Wes didn’t realize was that he grandfather’s “strict” rules would ultimately pave the right path for
Parenting played a big role in shaping the two boys lives. Having a parental mentor is important because they assist and guide children to take the right decisions about their lives. The author had his two parents at the beginning of his life. Also, the author’s parents, especially his mother, tried to raise him in an effective way wanting him to know the right from wrong at an early age. “No mommy loves you, like I love you, she just wants you to do the right thing” (Moore 11). This quote was a live example of the author’s life with his parents. It reflected the different ways his parents used to teach him “the right thing.” Though his mother was upset from his action toward his sister, his father
Paul and Erick were the main characters and I chose them because they have a typical sibling relationship where there is arguments and rivalries. However, they do show the dysfunctional side of family life when there is competition, lack of discipline, and unresolved conflicts in the home. Although Paul and Erik are different they too have similarities such as Paul and Erick both play a sport that involve their feet and hands. Erick plays football and Paul plays soccer (he is a goalie). They both are from Texas and moved to Tangerine, Florida. This novel to be quite
The life choices also made and impact on the lives of the boys and transferred into their adulthood.
Trustful Principles Somebody once said “Trust doesn’t come with a refill. Once it’s gone, you probably won’t get it back, And if you do, it will never be the same.” This is why Jamal and WIlliam fight to maintain the trust that they find in each other throughout the movie, ‘Finding Forrester’. In the film, a black kid from the Bronx struggles to show who he really is while maintaining his popular image within his friend group.
In Canadian history there are many famous people. In my mind Terry Fox is a real Canadian hero. He is a role model to everyone because he didn’t give up.
Siblings or relatives can be role models to people. The reader is being introduced to the other Wes Moore's family and the narrator describes how wes sees Tony. He is described as, "To Wes, Tony was a "Certified
Jeremy had a strong support system throughout his life growing up. His mother who cared for him wanted to see nothing but good from Jeremy. Also he had a big brother guiding him, and protecting him. On top of that he had, Jonathan Kozol who also was a big support. Jeremy elementary school years was his best.
“My parents never hurt me, I said. I got the cuts and bruises playing outside and the burns from cooking hot dogs.” Walls. This shows that the parents weren’t abusive and bad parents at all and that the kids just play rough and that was hard for people to believe because the kids were at the hospital so often. This shows that the parents aren't being bad parents and that they are safe and the kids just go a little hard on their bodies. “When dad wasn’t telling you all about all the amazing things he had already done, he was telling us about the wondrous things he was going to do. Like, Build the Glass Castle.” This Shows that the dad had an interest in the kids and that he isn’t abusing or harming them and that's what makes a good parent is that the parent cares about their

Steve is the oldest of three, with a brother and a sister. His dad worked as a chemical engineer and his mom stayed at home and helped out with cooking, cleaning shopping, or driving them around. He grew up in a neighborhood where all of his friends did the same thing, whether it included boy scouts, little league baseball, YMCA basketball, or church and a youth group, they all

The boy is very warm-hearted and appears to struggle to understand that danger could occur at any moment, whilst his father knows a lot more about what some people, “the bad guys”, do in order to survive. It could be seen that the child is very naive and therefore trusts others more than his father. However his trust in others teaches his father a valuable lesson; that not everyone is a “bad guy”. For instance when the pair come across Ely, the father is wary about him but his son is adamant that they give him a tin of food. This shows to readers that the boy has faith unlike his father. Another example is when the son sees the little boy; he begs his father to go back and help him and asks if he can go with them. I believe that he wants to help others as
Sometimes when people do something positive that helps other people they get recognized. Father Flynn showed this when he took Donald under his wing. When someone chooses to help and takes the opportunity to make to help they earn respect. When Father Flynn helped Donald they both earned each other respect. I think Father Flynn is kind and caring, he helped the boy when other children picked on him. He looked past his color of skin unlike the other characters in the movie. I think a good person would have stayed and stood for what they believed in. Father could possibly be a good person, because we do not know if he lied. If he was lying then that would degrade him and make him untruthful. If he was a good person he could had left only because
