People often say that life is short, but is it really? Yes, it is a fact that life is totally unpredictable, no one actually knows what is going to happen the next day, or even in the next hour. So how can someone actually say that life is short? Is it really short or people doesn't just live completely? A lot of people are afraid of uncertainties, especially when it comes to death, since everyone can die any time, only a couple of people in this world get a chance to grow old and actually say that they have lived. However, there are actually ways to increase your chances of living a longer life, and here are some of them
“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with what matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it.” Steve Jobs

If there is something that you have always want to try, then do it. Some people grows old and regret not being able to do the things they have wanted to do, so don’t make the same mistakes they did. If you tried that certain thing and it turned out to be something you didn't like, don't regret it, but instead, look deep into it learn from it. Never be afraid to do the things that you love, it is your life after all, live it the way you want to.
“Life is short, youth is infinite, and opportunities endless. Have you found the intersection of your passion and the potential for world-shaping positive impact? If you don't have a great idea of your own, there are plenty of great teams that need you, unknown startups and established teams in giant companies alike.” Justin
“You’ve got to find what you love,” (Jobs, 2005) Steve Job exclaimed to the students at Stanford University. Throughout his speech, Steve Jobs was constantly encouraging the students to do what they love to do and to never give up. He talked about connecting the dots, love, loss, and death. These three subjects he talked summed up one of the most inspiring speeches given to this day. Steve Job’s speech included a couple rhetorical devices and appeals.
It has been discovered that, “Nearly three decades ago, 61.1% of workers said they liked their jobs. That number has slid over time, reaching an all-time low in 2010 following the Great Recession, when only 42.6% of workers said they were satisfied in their jobs,” due to the findings of The Conference Board Job Satisfaction survey (Adams). As an achiever who strives to experience excitement and adventure in life, I find the lack of job satisfaction for most Americans to be disappointing. Having more than a job—having a career—in life is essential to maintaining happiness and allowing self-growth as an adult. It is necessary that every person does something they wish to accomplish during their life or feel the need to do to satisfy the means of their existence. After months of remaining undecided on my desired career that would necessarily fulfil my personal means, I have directed my studying toward the goal of being an art therapist. This uncommon occupation is described as, “An integrative mental health profession that combines knowledge and understanding of human development and psychological theories and techniques with visual arts and the creative process to provide a unique approach for helping clients improve psychological health, cognitive abilities, and sensory-motor functions” (“About us”).
Some take years searching for the perfect career but for others the perfect career finds you…
The life’s too short, don’t waste your time in doing a thing you don’t like or didn’t match with your life vision.
“What do you want to be when you grow up?”; the question that everyone has been asked at some young stage in their life, is one that we feel we need to live up to. In today’s society we are taught that obtaining, and becoming successful in a career is one of the most important things that a person can do with their life. Starting at a young age, every generation has been told that hard work is needed in order to become successful. While this may be true, the process might prevent someone from living their life the way that they have always wanted to because they are too worried about what they believe is their number one priority: work. People will spend their whole life working in extremities just to gain a sense of pride, dignity, and a little
In conclusion life isn’t something you throw around like a ball, it's something you care for and nurture for as long as you possibly can. People can live up to a hundred years old if they treat their lives well. Or it will fail at the young age of 20.There is no way to add more years to your life all you can do is treat it right as much as you can. But you sure can make it go away faster.Don't take it for granted because because your short life will only get shorter and
Our society makes it difficult to see beyond the workplace to find success and fulfillment in life. The truth is, it really isn't the job you do or the career you have that makes you who you are. It's the inward drive that drew you toward a particular career in the first place.
It is sometimes necessary to take chance because doing new task can always be thrilling, and also you'll never regret trying out something new. Giving a chance to new tasks can be exciting and difficult. That does't mean you should let the opportunities fly by. You can give it a try or not,but always remember you only live once. For example when i tryout for soccer it was embarrasing because i was't good at it at all. In the other hand it was an unforgettable expierence. Maybe soccer was't my thing football is. You always have to give chances t new frontiers .You'll never regret trying out. It would't be nice to grow old and looking back at the adventures you did't take, it would be sad cause you cant go back in time. Trust me you will not

There is an old saying that goes, "If your job is doing what you love, is it really work?" I like to use this saying as a decidual power. What do I mean by that? To further express my point, I can take and use writing for an example. Writing for me can be a swinging gate. Sometimes, I will sit down and write for hours while on the contrary, I will only be able to write a few words in what seems like years. When I write about a topic I try to get three or four paragraphs in before I ask myself, "Does this feel like work, or am I enjoying this writing session?" Once this question is asked, I instantly know what my initial feelings are on that topic. If the pendulum still swings in a constant motion, just like the constant questioning of progression or depletion, I turn to a professional.
The life expectancy has improved over the past century, due to advances in preventative care and control of infectious diseases, better and more reliable nutrition, housing, hygiene, and medical care. For instance, advances in medical technology in relation to such treatment of heart disease and stroke, as well as living healthier lifestyles, improvements in access to health care, and better overall health before age 65, resulted in continued improvements in life expectancy throughout the second half of the 20th century. Although life expectancy increased from 49 to 80 years due to life and health enhancements, it has caused gender, religion, income and racial group disparities that
“The reward of doing a thing well is to have done it” (Sullivan 412). This statement by Ralph challenges the norm to a very different extent. It changes people priorities when looking for that future career. Most people, including myself, attach our priorities and values, when choosing a career, directly with dollar signs. We try to find the most interesting career choice for ourselves, but also accommodates the numeric value of money we will want in the future. Ralph challenges this norm and is practically saying for people who are searching for their careers to not be attached to dollar signs, but rather the love of that career
“The road to success begins and ends with passion” once quoted by, Tom Krause. Walking towards success is a rough path but with passion everything will be worth it. Passion towards a certain goal will be more effective. Working or doing what a person love with passion will bring joy and fulfillment to a person thus will make a person work even harder. “You have this position but you’re not happy. You should be very happy, that’s why work and money is like the same.” For Mr. Abella, you should be happy with what job position you are in. Happiness with your job consists of passion and rewards you get from it. Not being able to meet one’s worth in a job, even if you are passionate about it will only lessen your enthusiasm towards work. People should choose a career they are passionate about for being passionate with what you are doing comes excellence. That is why when love and skill work together, expect a masterpiece. People who are very passionate with their work are more likely to become more successful than those people who are not passionate with what they are doing. With passion, people will make a difference beyond their dreams. People with passion are dreamers, who are not asleep and are making their dreams a
“It is not the length of life, but the depth of life” -Ralph Waldo Emerson
It is possible that we are in the right place, at the right time in our life, doing the right thing in the right way, and we don’t realize it. It is possible that our dissatisfaction with our labor is only a matter of not pausing to appreciate and enjoy the fruits of our labor. It is possible that the lack of recognition and praise that could accompany our work is due to our own lack of appreciation. It may be unlikely, but it is possible that the
