The Art Institution of Hollywood (AI Hollywood) is a good fit for me due to its strong fashion marketing curriculum combined with the diversity of the student body, as well as the accessibility of fashion professional networking opportunities. I was impressed with AI Hollywood’s energetic learning environment while visiting the campus during this summer. I graduated from Saint Louis University with a concentration in international business. As an academic major, international business fits both my personality and my professional aspirations. I initially caught the international business bug at an American private high school, where my circle of friends and I would exchange ethnic foods and teach each other our home languages. My interactions …show more content…
Since I was in primary school, I have had a passion for fashion. I spent my spare time looking through latest fashion magazines and drawing clothes, especially weeding dresses. As I grew up, I want not only to read about fashion but also to participate in it. Los Angeles is a center of business and fashion, which provides a wealth of opportunities for practicum. With all these experiences have clarified to study fashion marketing in AI Hollywood is what I really want and what really excited me. I try to consciously broaden my career goals and chances by not limiting myself geographically and be able to respond better to market needs. My education experience in AI Hollywood can help me to learn or improve skills that are helpful to my career goals. In the next five years, my goal is to find a position at a fashion company where I can use and take on new challenges over time. In the next ten years, I wish that I could engage in independent studio operation and fashion media.
While I am focused on success, I am also commercially aware of the present climate within the fashion industry. According to research from the Hong Kong Institute of Fashion Buying, China’s consumers of luxury and high fashion are between 20 and 50 years old. Due to the implicit and abstract nature of the traditional culture, there are basically no fashion marketing and management. Thus, there is an increasing need for professional fashion mangers.
I might have some shortcoming of research on fashion magazines in its depth, paradigm and so on. I believe that AI Hollywood, with its academic excellency and cultural diversity, is a place for me to sharpen my personal skills and expand my knowledge to fulfill my dream to become future fashion manager. I envision myself using the values, knowledge and skills that I acquire at

Starting back at Austin Community College I switched my major from Marketing to Fashion Merchandising. I know I've made the right choice to leave cosmetology school and changing my major. I've gone from a C student to A's and B's student. While at ACC I have experienced some wonderful opportunities through my Fashion courses. From being invited to go watch the University of Texas student fashion show the last two years and being invited to attend Austin Fashion week. During y time at ACC, I have met some amazing mentors who have encouraged me to continue my journey into the Fashion industry.

I am honored to apply for the Master of Arts Luxury and Fashion Management program at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). I have not always known which professional career path was best for me however; I have always had a passion for the arts, fashion specifically. My desires were armored during my undergraduate curriculum and ignited an enthusiasm to further pursue and perfect my craft. I am confident attending SCAD will place me one step closer to my aspirations.
I believe the art institute of Hollywood will help me improve my current skills and attain my idea job. My career goal is to become a multimedia and animation artist, because I enjoy using more than one style of medium. I have done research for jobs that circle around this profession, and I have come to the understanding that I first need to obtain a bachelor's degree of arts. My plan is work hard and sharpen my skills, so I can improve as I take the courses required to reach my goal.
I received a BFA degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2014. SAIC taught me to approach fashion as an interdisciplinary medium that brings different areas of art together such as painting, sculpture, performance, fiber, and more. I feel that the time of solely creating beautiful things has ended. Accordingly, good contemporary art needs to be more substantial than a visual
First and foremost I have an affinity for the arts, I spend my leisure time painting on canvas. Not only do I love art on canvas, but I appreciate all forms of it. I have always admired the films produced by the Tribeca Film festival, and for the first time this year was able to attend a screening (The Family Fang). Year after year Tribeca has remained true to the art and continues to hold a variety of diverse films. The festival serves as a pillar to the arts and culture of New York. Lastly, I do my best work when I am passionate and connected to it. After pursuing my MBA I realized I do not want the typical wall street job, I want to be somewhere that I can bring my personality and creative ideas to the job. It would be an honor to continue

During this summer, for the month of June, I studied abroad in Paris, France. I am a Fashion Merchandising major at Ashland University. When traveling to Paris for a month, I studied fashion at the Paris Fashion Institute. My experience was unbelievable and I would not take it back for anything. The purpose of me doing this program was to complete the university GPS requirement and to broaden my knowledge in fashion. Paris is the largest fashion capital in the world. Throughout the experience, I had to adapt to the culture in many different aspects.
My career goals and objectives have gone through quite the transformation throughout my college career. I’ve gone from marketing to communications, to film, only to go right back to communications. For my future, I realized that I wanted a degree that can take me anywhere I want to go and that can also allow me to incorporate my creative skills. Before I began my undergraduate degree, I had always dreamed of working in the fashion industry. Now that my dreams have turned into my reality, I couldn’t be more excited. This is why I chose to intern at Elbert Ivory Model Management.
Most of you would know that in order to get into the fashion design industry, you would require a degree or a diploma certificate from a fashion design college, at least in the initial stages to tell the clients about you knowledge. But there are times and cases when one is not able to find time to attend a school or a college because of other commitments and financial pressures at times. In most technical fields, online schools have already become a hot favorite among working professionals who do not have time to attend regular classes at the conventional brick and mortar schools. The fashion industry is also fast catching up with this trend and a number of online fashion design colleges have come up in recent times which provide high quality education and good in house training and even offer internship opportunities in collaboration with some of the leading fashion design studios and labels. These colleges offer similar courses to those being offered at actual fashion design colleges, so the aspirants do not have much problem
A year into graphic design, my goals had finally been well defined. Although I still have a long way to go, I have good idea of what I would like my future to be like. The end of my sophomore year, I will have adequate knowledge and the required skill set to intern at design firms till I earn my degree. Here, I hope to learn things about the industry that I haven 't learnt about in college. This will also give me experience as well as a good understanding of what it’s like in the professional world. Once I earn my degree, ideally, I would like an entry level position as a graphic designer at a design firm and work my way to the top in San Francisco or elsewhere in The States. Three to five years into the industry, I would 've established myself and earned enough money and at this point I would like to begin a new chapter in my life. What I decide to do next depends on how I feel about the industry and if I have the
Art is the primary outlet for my emotions, and has become the essence of my personality, my actions, and inspires me completely. I am intrigued by self expression and the many forms it can take place in one’s life, whether it is purposeful, or unintended. This has caused me to find my calling within visual arts. My educational goal is to complete a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Fashion Design and Fibers. My career goal is to work in the fashion industry as a designer and textile artist who can incorporate my ideas of freedom, self expression, representation, and equality to a physical form though my work. These characteristics are important to a flourishing society and can have incredible influence in forthcoming generations.
