Lizzie is a girl who Carol had become a mother too and has suffered a serious psychiatric break, which made her believe that the zombies were misunderstood creatures that were entitled to be treated with respect, even if they weren’t exactly humans. It creates a vivid parallel to a present-day Donald Trump. Within the first few episodes, an obvious change in color palette can be seen throughout the show. It is a melancholy object to those who walk through this gruesome town or travel in the swamps, when they see the streets, the roads, and screaching doors, crowded with zombies everywhere, followed by two, three, or five zombie children, all in a zombie nature and importuning every passenger for some human flesh. These zombie mothers, instead of being able to work for their honest livelihood, are happy to spend all their time in strolling to find flesh for their helpless zombie infants: who as they grow up either turn zombies, or leave their dear native country to fight for the arms and legs of the human race, or sell themselves to the humans.

Inspired by the original myth, many content producers have modified what is once traditional. From storylines to characters, creative individuals have incorporated pieces of mythical details into popular culture. One of the most common adaptation are the characters, from the Olympians to magical beasts, Titans to Nymphs. Although they are the same characters based off of the same myth, none of the deities are depicted in the same style, different producers have different ways to express each characters. As a fan of modern adaptations, I wish to perform an analytical comparison between the traditional and modern portrayal of the Olympians in fandom culture.

Whether it be video games like Call of Duty or making people feel nervous for a potential zombie apocalypse, the zombie has become one of the most recognizable pop culture figures. The rise of zombies as a frightening creature can be related a real-world issue. In this essay I will argue that zombies have changed over time and that there is a distinct connection between the way zombies are portrayed and the way the world looks at the lower economic class.

She admits to her pre-zombie self, having spent so many nights building a resume for a life she’d never have and that parts of her were dead before she became a zombie.
