”Rat Song” is a poem written by Margaret Atwood and is part of Selected Poems from 1976. What is interesting about the poem is that it is written from the point of view of a rat. And by looking through the eyes of a rat (which many people see as a primitive and inferior animal) the poem shows how judgemental, hateful, hypocritical and “unnatural” the human race is. The poem furthermore advocates that humans are a much greater parasite than the rats they are so desperately trying to get rid of.
One of Raphael’s friends Jun-Jun (Rat) is another dumpsite boy and he hasn’t had a new pair of clothes for years and he is not educated why? Because he is the same person as Raphael both dumpsite boys both have no money to get educated. Children at a young age is working under age to make money to help their families.
The assignment I chose to do was "Option 4: Creating a book code" and the steps I had to accomplish in order to finish are quite simple. First and foremost I had to complete the assigned reading,"Trash" By Andy Mulligan and I then used pages 231-232 as a starter for my book code. From there I had to fully comprehend the idea of a book code and come up with one since there can be many variations to a book code. I went with the one that was explained on page 231 where the first number represents the page you start on, second is the amount of lines down you need to go and the next number is how many characters (includes punctuation and spaces) you have to go in. The slash represents the turning of a new page. After that point, I came up with
Given that, city rats are the same breed as a pet or lab rat, they can grow to about 16 inches and weigh up to a pound, moreover, their colonies can grow to 40 to 50 rats, and they have the habit of to travel in packs. In addition, when they reproduce, they can mate 20 times in six hours and female rats can give birth to 40 to 70 rats a year. Therefore, they are extremely difficult to kill and New York City, containing an underground subway system, empty lots, apartment complexes and lots of garbage, is the perfect environment for a massive reproduction of these undesirable animals.
Tom was an adventurous boy who loved to go to many scary places, such as the grave and the haunted house. He loves to go treasure hunting with his friend Huckleberry Finn. At the beginning of the story, Tom is a mischievous boy, who did not listen to his Aunt. Tom is also very brave and courageous to go up into the court and says that Muff Potter is innocent and Injun Joe is the murderer. Even though he is a kid, he was becoming a better person. The main character in Trash is Raphael. Raphael is a 14 year old with a lot of strength and courage from the police. He was a little naughty to be hiding the bag from the police. Otherwise, he is brave and very smart. Even though he is poor, he can escape from the police very
Rats are dangerous because it carries fleas and ticks with them to your residence. The rats could come from sewers or trashcans and carry those particles and germs to your clean home. The ticks and fleas carry additional diseases to the diseases rats carry. Along with small rodents nestled in a rat's fur, rats destroy a home through scratching and gnarling walls, wires, plumbing, and insulation with their teeth and feet. Pet food and human food become unsanitary due to contamination.
Rats are monstrous, revolting ,creatures that spread disease to humans and kill small animals. Recently, multiple countries have been overwhelmed by rat infestations. Additionally, rats have caused many problems throughout history, especially The Black Death. The dramatic changes in the rat population are, in some areas, beginning to concern many residents and officials. As rats and other rodents intrude into human occupations, they cause executives to do everything in their power to wipe out the increasing population of the rats in residences and in metropolitan areas.

Rats are horrendous rodents that infest even some of the cleanest of homes. Rat infestations have been occurring in many areas of the world. The rodents are multiplying and taking over entire regions. These rats are leaving house residents concerned with no way to stop them. Infestations are overwhelming humans, taking over their homes, because they are driven out of large cities limits due to weather.
3. There are many patterns in the book. One of the patterns I spotted was that he goes to knock on the door to collected weekly fees and at first he is always scared. But every time he talks to a neighbor they all give him warm welcomes and shows that they can understand and care for him. Another pattern I spotted was always he messes up in every house. He messed by saying a bad word to the neighbor, messes up by leaving a question and standing there for a minute, and he messed up by lying to Mrs.Rat.
Rats are intelligent. Do you ever wonder how rats get access to your home even if you’ve virtually sealed everything? Yes, that’s right.
The large, diabolical, disease carrying rodents can be found all around the world. The multiple species of rats can be found almost anywhere, no matter where they originated from. The hellish rats have caused many problems to all of society which is leaving people to investigate deeper about the mysterious creatures. Our reluctant heroine finds herself in a role she has not chosen but has been thrust into. She is prepared though, she has placed defense weapons close at hand since the protection of the family has now fallen to her. From the beginning she doesn’t seem completely at ease in contrast to the sleeping children unaware of not only the potential danger the rat presents, but also oblivious to the new weighty responsibilities that their mother is now dealing with. This is all highly significant because it is central in this seemingly humorous debacle. What starts out as an innocuous situation soon evolves into a test of the author's ability to defend her family, to protect them.
Recently, Paris ushered in a group of uninvited “guests”—clustered rats. Some people have already met with them. For instance, “Nadine Mahe des Portes” (para.1) stepped on one rat on the way home. And, as result of rats, Parisians may have the possibility of tripped over them on the sidewalk. Differing from before, rats “brazenly feed in broad daylight” (para.3). They were “all over the park”, “sauntering across the footpaths”, “merrily grazing in the undergrowth” and far more bothered by “pigeons competing with them for breadcrumbs” (para.5), which are used to feed pigeons by tourists and local people. Rats “foraging for food” regularly scampered through the “children's play area” and trash bins, “sowing panic” (para.8). People often use a
