Working to Help Reduce the Numbers

Not many people can resist a puppy or kitten, how cute and cuddley they are. Everytime I see one I just want to take it home with me. I have 3 cats, all rescues, 2 from adoption event sponsored by PetSmart and the othe was only with me until I could find her a good home. That was almost 3 years ago. Not every animal is lucky enough to have nice, warm, loving home or get adopted into one. The numbers are staggering. Having recently moving almost directly in middle of what I learned to be an undocumented feral cat colony, it breaks my heart seeing so many hungry and scared cat and kittens every night living in such heartbreaking conditions. Not every animal is lucky enough to have nice, warm, loving home or get adopted into one. The numbers are staggering. Having recently moving almost directly in middle of what I learned to be an undocumented feral cat colony, it breaks my heart seeing so many hungry and scared cat and kittens every night living in such heartbreaking conditions. With kitten season rapidly approaching, the numbers again are about to climax. None of these cats are fixed or have ever been to a vet, causing the population to explode. This epidemic has created ordinances to be passed by our city council and even has been spotlighted in local news. Being an avid animal lover, I cant just not feed these hungry cats, and notice that others in my neighborhood are doing the same,esp now that ordinances have passed allowing that. Staring with our Las Vegas Valley Humane Society, I was able to learn more of other agencies and local vets that are not only involved in this cause, but are also volunteering their time and services to try to reduce these numbers.
