In the picture, I can see a cold landscape. It is located in Arctic because there is a snow, it's desolate and there is a sparse vegetation. In the background of the picture, we can see the frozen mountainous with the sun shining on them. In the foreground of the picture, we can see an Eskimo is building the iglu. At the top of the picture, we can see a blue sky although it is a rainy weather and windy. Perhaps there are penguins because they live in a cold weather as the Antartic.
The muskox can survive in the tundra due to its large coat of rough hair on its body. It lives in the tundra to find what it needs to stay sustained such as roots, mosses and lichens.Next the Arctic Hare survives in the tundra because it has shortened ears and limbs, a wad small nose, fat that makes up 20% of its body, and a thick coat of fur. It live in the Tundra because that is its place of origin.Third the Polar Bear survives in the tundra because it has a big fur coat over a thick warm coat of fat. It stays in the arctic or tundra due to those locations have the food source they need to survive.Fourth the Arctic fox survives in the Tundra because the furry soles, short ears and short muzzle which are good for chilly climates. They stay
The artwork is different and unique. They made artwork of arctic animals, people, spirits. Like, polar bears, the chief, and the gods they believe in. The housing is also different. They live in igloos, tents, and Inuvialuit houses. Igloos are made of ice. Tents are made of wood and animal hide. Also, Inuvialuit houses are made of wood, dirt, and hides. They also ate different foods. The Inuit ate Hooded Seal, Beluga Whale, Walrus, Narwhal, Caribou, Polar Bear, Musk Oxen, Arctic Fox, Arctic Hare, and the Arctic Bird. The Inuit are different.
In this first picture looks like they're in the rocky mountains resting looking for another land where there is so much nature and peace there is also so much detail in the background.
What do you think we would do if someone from anther planet landed in the U.S and claimed it as his territory because he had discovered it? How would you feel about this?
In this photograph that stands about two feet in height and in length, was seen at the Irving Art Center. At the time of the visit the gallery had an exhibit from the National Geographic called “The Rarely Seen: Photographs of the Extraordinary.” The photograph is titled King Colony, and it is by Frans Lanting. In Lanting photograph includes tens of thousand of Aptenodytes patagonicus which are also known as king penguins. The Aptenodytes patagonicus or king penguins seem to be frozen because they are motionless and calm, also, there is so many of them that blend into the horizon.
The Inuit peoples shown in the film live in the Artic, where temperatures average -30 degrees Celsius and the land is barren. This extreme weather greatly impacts both the material and non-material culture of their society to ensure survival. For instance, this barren landscape forces the Inuit to make igloos out of snow in order to insulate themselves from the harsh winds, resulting in a community effort
2The Inuits have to understand the natural patterns of the wild life so...so it is easier to hunt prey like seals, caribou, and walrus Because there is ice that can expose them. But global warming is disrupting these patterns.
It contains an expanse of tundra with many marshes and lagoons with rivers situated between foothills of the Brooks Range and the wide, icy waters of the Beaufort Sea. Environmentalists said that this area “is the most biologically productive part of the Arctic Refuge for wildlife and is the center if wildlife activity.” The importance of these resources is not measurable. The Arctic is home to such animals as caribou, polar bears, grizzly bears, musk oxen, whales, wolves and snow geese. This area is full of wildflowers and contains water of excellent, unpolluted quality and quantity. The Arctic Ocean costal plain is an area critical to the survival of many birds and mammals (‘Alaska Wild’).
The Canadian Arctic are known as the Inuit, which they are commonly known as Eskimos. The Inuit is a subculture of a Native American culture and they are losing their homelands due to weather changes. Even though the Inuit were the last Native American people to arrive they were one of the first people in Canada. They settled in Canada and they made their own customs. They have many different types of elements like of religion, art, clothings, and customs and traditions.
Arctic National Wildlife Refuge: Seasons of Life and Land, A Photographic Journey is an editorial that argues in favor of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and how it must be protected from the dangers of human industrialization and oil exploration that would surely destroy the land. The author of the passage dwelves into great detail about the vast, untouched beauty of the Arctic Refuge and how its majesty is among the greatest things he has witnessed. Banerjee, however, fails to support his argument using substantial facts that might otherwise sway skeptics. For instance, Banerjee states: “I was saddened to think of the tragedy that might occur if this great wilderness was consumed by a web of roads and pipelines, drilling rigs and industrial facilities”. The author here uses an ethos and pathos standpoint, coming from the perspective of personal experience and opinion of how distraught he should feel if the land were
Many people, when they think of Native Americans, will think of dancing and strange rituals, which is not the case with the Inuit Tribe. The Inuit Tribe are located in the far Arctic North. Also known as the Eskimo, the Inuit people have adapted to live in the freezing temperatures. They live by some of the most common ways Native Americans do. They practice not to waste anything they kill and also practice making arts. The Inuit Tribe have many ways to survive in the wild even with the hardships and scarce resources around them (Sontella 5).
It was a snowy day in the Artic. If we encounter the west of Artic we will encounter vilagge May Ice.At the vilagge a powerful polar bear that is named Barnecals with a smart seal name Lily, they both really like advantures.Today they were planing going to the amozone river that is filled with many amazing animals. Lily and Barnecals are going there with the coldest tegnologycle suit in in the Artic.
The Inuit people are also known as Eskimos. They have lived in the Artic area; the Tundra, where the climate is cold and too severe for trees to grow, for over a thousand years. Over the thousands of years living in the Artic environment, the Inuit people have adapted culturally and biologically. Among the biological adaptations, their bodies altered permitting them to adapt to the environment in five ways. In addition to biological adaptations, the Inuit people also adapted culturally, changing how they dressed, the type of home they lived in, and the number of individuals in their groups.
The women of the tribes create the clothing from seal, caribou, bear, fox, and other animal skins (Santella 31). They dress in a multitude of layers to keep warm in their frigid region (30). Furthermore, there is not much difference between men and women clothing. In the winter, Inuits wear layers of boots, trousers, parkas, and mittens as well. The number of layers that they wear is solely dependent on the weather around them (“The Arctic People - Groups in This Region”). Because of the cold climate, the Inuits have a very distinctive
The Inuits live in really harsh conditions in the Arctic. They have lived there for a really long time. They live in a place called Nunavut. They are brave to live there. They are not able to make wooden homes, because of their climate region, so they make snow houses called “Igloos”. In the summer, when the snow melts, they cannot make igloos. They live in tent like huts made of animal skins. Inuit communities are found in the: Northwest Territories, Labrador, and Quebec.
