Bullying, isn’t that a part of life?
I think kids nowadays are so thin skinned. What are they going to do in the real world? I mean everyone is on this anti bullying wagon when they need to be teaching their children that someone else’s opinion of them is irrelevant. I’m not saying that bullying is right but I am saying that it is a part of life.
Picture two toddlers fighting over a toy and the one toddler bites the other to get the toy. I’m pretty damn sure that the toddler wasn’t taught to bite so that’s not a learned behavior but more of a survival instinct and If that toddler then at the age of two realizes that if he or she bites then they win; they get the toy. Is that bullying? Hurting someone else to get what you want? I know I was

I remember me and a friend would cut that class because it was embarrassing because everyone knew what room that was. It was for the slow learners. But that was the worst I did; cut class. I didn’t feel the need to start an anti-bullying campaign, or it didn’t make me suicidal, I just really taught me that there are mean people in this world I thank my parents for teaching me that people are always going to have an opinion and if it happens to be a negative one ignore it and keep your head up. According to Former Government advisor (Gill) states “Youngsters must learn to cope with teasing and name calling so they are able to handle awkward situations when they become adults” in the Daily mail by Nancy Clark. …show more content…
My oldest daughter got bullied for having braces and my middle daughter got bullied for having hairy arms in Middle School but because I was writing this paper I asked all my friends, my boyfriend, my three children and my niece did they ever get bullied and if so did it affect them in any negative way and they all said “yes, they got bullied and no it didn’t hurt them.” Bullying never stops, you think that when you grow up, you get a career, and you become free from bullying but bullying is everywhere. Many successful people were once bullied. Is it safe to say that bullying isn’t as bad as people are making it out to be? Sure, in severe cases there are terrible outcomes, but that can be blamed on the parents for coddling their children when they were young and not letting them experience life. I’ve been bullied while driving; another car was in a hurry and cut me off while driving with the middle finger waved so freely out the window with their hand on the horn. There is bullying in the work force; you can be your supervisors pet and every other employee dislikes you, or you can be the snitch of the work place, or the brown noser. Bullying doesn’t end. It doesn’t just magically disappear on your last day of school on your senior year and that why I say it’s a part of life and you have to learn deal with it. In the Herald Media 2012 (Tobler, Payson) states “Bullying prepares you
According to dosomething.org, “Over 3.2 million students are victims of bullying each year.” Everyone can be a bully at one point and they may not even know that they are bullying someone. Which means that our actions can speak louder than our words, and sometimes when our filthy actions and crude words come together it’s not always a happy ending. In the end, someone’s going to be hurt.
The actual definition of bullying is “using superior strength or influence to intimidate someone, typically to force him or her to do what one wants.” But, my take on bullying is when someone with higher power places an undeserving individual under a microscope, while shredding them apart to make them feel as miniscule and meaningless as desirable. I consider this because anyone who has ever been bullied before knows that you feel like you cannot do anything about it and that they have a higher power over you. You
Bullying is very bad and because of this about 160,000 of 13,000,000 kids stay home so they don’t get bullied by anyone. Also out of that 13 million 2,000 commit suicide because of the harsh bullying. Since many kids around the world are being bullied schools have been starting an anti-bullying system which brings bullies down by 15%. When kids reported bullying 80% of it is name calling, 39% is hitting or shoving, 38% is threats, 29% is rumor spreading, etc. Everyone should always remember one rule and that is the golden rule, the golden rule is to treat others how they want to be treated, but some bullies just don’t understand so they make everyone feel bad about themselves.
Issue: If you or your child have ever been a victim of bullying then you know how horrible one can feel. There are many emotions and fears associated with bullying, and no one should have to be subjected to it. Bullying can have a lasting effect not only in one’s present life but their future as well. Bullying is very prominent in schools today, and there has been an increase in school shootings, which is the extreme reaction to being bullied. Children need to consider each other’s feelings before they decide to bully or pick on each other.
CyberBullying is a terrible thing that people everywhere experience on a daily basis. In fact, Teenagers’ have the biggest detrimental effect out of everyone else. The constant craze of social media in the world has triggered certain individuals to hide behind a screen and ruin people's lives. Such things are portrayed on social media every single day, and it is those who take the bullying that tend to take it to heart, thus causing an emotional scar that will not heal. It takes menial efforts to post a picture but some teenagers or people in general take social media very seriously almost as it's their job or life. In fact, it's just as easy to write a negative comment on that very same picture. Cyber Bullying needs to be
I believe that us seventh graders could pick up trash and stop bullying because these are big problems that you can help reduce the trash and bullying population, even at school.
According to the article, Meet the New Sheriff by Suzanne McCabe, “One out of every five students are bullied or are bullies themselves.” This one piece of ground-breaking evidence is enough to destroy our society, and our children’s lives forever. Bullying is a highly discussed topic that American children face every day and it’s near impossible to stop. There are also topics within bullying, like how students become bullies, or how to stop bullying, also which is worse being a bystander or being a bully. And you can’t deny that bullies are almost like mad serial killers, they go around and they don’t stop even if they get into trouble. There are so many topics on bullying that you can’t even count them all. “Everyone has been bullied for
Bullying has been present through time. It results from someone believing that there is a power imbalance, they believe that they are more important, better, or valuable than another person. This is the root of many problems in society. It is defined by the US government as, “Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Both kids who are bullied and who bully others may have serious, lasting problems” (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services)
Bullying is a very serious problem. About 1/10 teenagers drop out of school because of being bullied. Victims of bullies tend to become depressed and many others have even taken their own lives away. Overall bullying has really ruined and hurt many people and it needs to be recognized. The issue of bullying hasn't been exaggerated at all. Additionally, all the attention and awareness that has been spread about bullying is completely appropriate.
bullying is a horrible thing that happens to a lot of tenagers, and it’s for for stupid things. Such as, how people dress or how they act. People thinks it’s funny, but it’s not at all.

Bullying includes actions such as making threats, spreading rumors, attacking someone physically or verbally, and excluding someone from a group on
Bullying can be describes as an aggressive behavior from an individual that feels the need to overpower, and control others, whether physically or mentally. The term “bullying” is thrown around a bit excessively these days that we go to extremes when we hear the word, we either ignore it completely or we go off the handle and want to stamp everyone as a bully. As a society we have become desensitized to term while at the same time trying to stay politically correct, in other words we tend to look the other way, but when approached by others about it we try to save face. At times we even try to avoid explaining Darwins Theory of Evolution or in other words “natural selection” and label it as bullying. At the end of the day we need to address
Many people do not realize how serious bullying has become. If you look at statistics suicides due to bullying have increased over just a few short years. This has become a very big problem for not only the victim but the bully as well as it affect both of them. School bullying is mentally destructive to not only the victims, but bullies because of the harmful words, harassment, and physical violence involved as well as the consequences for the bully.
It is only in the recent years that attention has turned toward the widespread problem of bullying, especially in schools, and that bullying is identified as a serious problem that merits intervention and research (Coy). Therefore, relatively little effort has been made to overcome or address the problem, which still remains a widespread social vice. This paper purports to illustrate how, despite efforts made to rectify the situation, bullying still remains rampant, and is getting worse.
“Bullying is one form of violence that seems to have increased in recent years,
