The article states that the situations improve an archeological artifact, and provides three reasons of support. However, the professor explains that situations destroyed the archeological artifacts and provides three reasons which refutes each of the author’s reasons. The article claims that many valuable sites were lost due to constructing buildings in the cities. However, the professor says that construction sites are examined according to the archeological interests and values. According to the professor, if buildings are going to build, the archeologists and local government make a plan to preserve an artifacts from previous building sites to protect artifacts before constructing the building. The reading posits that financial support
Some people don’t know the great and amazing place called Manchu Picchu, which is an old Inca building that many architects admire. Those people don’t know that thousands of tourists and visitors come to look at it, wonder about its past, and to reflect off of it. In source two, the author states that “A world heritage is a place that is amazing. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization support that Machu Picchu is a world heritage.” This shows the reader how important and stunning Machu Picchu was. In this essay we are going to talk about what was so amazing about Machu Picchu, how it affected the environment and how it inspired architects, and how and who made it.
Human beings, desire to maintain a connection with the past is achieved through the languages spoken, the various cultures practiced, and sadly through acquiring of cultural property by the means of grave robbing. Native Americans wanted justice for these past mistreatments and control over their history. According to Chip Colwell, campaigning, repatriation of indigenous artifacts began in the 1960s by indigenous activism. Finally, on November 16, 1990, The United States Government passed The Native American Graves Protection and Reparation Act. NAGPRA summarizes that museums must conduct an inventory of all native American cultural artifacts and remains. (Native) In addition, Museums send the inventories to federally recognized tribes, in

This question caught my attention because I have commonly heard the quote, “Be the change that you wish to see in the world”. I questioned the reality of the quote. Life has many obstacles and people give up on their dreams to settle for more conventional and attainable realities. However, when I was searching for artifacts and reflected upon them the thought changed.
With Atahualpa as their hostage, the Spaniards began sacking the city, stripping sacred religious objects from the temples of the sun and moon. Atahualpa, saw that the Spaniards valued gold and silver so highly. Therefore he made Pizarro an offer he knew he could not refuse. In exchange for his freedom, The Emperor promised to fill his massive prison cell with gold that extended as high as Pizarro could reach his hand with two rooms with silver. This was one of the artifacts that was there. I picked this artifact because it looks unique and different I’m tired of always seeing the same stuff so I decided to chose this one.
The history of archaeology plays an important role in the controversial issues surrounding the science. Archaeology has only recently become a concrete science. Although mankind has always had an interest in the past, the root of archaeology is believed to have started in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. During this time period, artifacts were mainly sought after for collecting. The upper class of the Renaissance period collected artifacts from places such as Rome and Greece to display in their homes as art. As time went on, the lure of historical art and artifacts increased. “Classical archaeology” is the direct result of this curiosity. The “classical archaeologists” were mainly wealthy men that collected artifacts for their homes and studied where they
Finding an arrowhead is a dream every child has held at one time or another. The ones who hold that dream the longest become archaeologists. Studying the lithic material from a site can seem tedious and dull, but the information that can be gleaned from it is invaluable. The type of lithic material can provide insight into the lifestyle, tool production, trading habits, and a possible time period of habitation. We aimed to discover some of this information from the items recovered during the two weeks of excavation at the East Carolina University Summer Ventures Archaeological Field Methods class.
The article, Aliens and Archaeology by Katy Meyers Emery, discusses how some humans are prone to look for the supernatural explanations when faced with human deformities. Despite the availability of perfectly natural, scientifically proven explanations these people are unwilling to accept the facts and sometimes fabricate evidence to support their unusual theories. The article lists two well documented examples of the phenomenon. The first example discussed is that of a necropolis filled with preserved human remains exhibiting elongated skulls in the early nineteenth century by Julio Tello. The process of elongating skulls is one that is widely known to have been practiced in several cultures. Despite this knowledge, there is a group that
pottery, characteristic of an earlier time or cultural stage, especially such an object found at an archaeological excavation. For this analysis paper, this paper will start out identifying the artifact that is meaningful and summarize that scene back in my days with the artifact that I have discovered and then from there will start examine the analysis about an artifact from a popular culture using any ethical theories that I’ve learned this whole semester.
There are thousands of archeological sites around the world and today the world gets one more. My team and I are positing the existence of a diminutive form of Homo sapiens and their spiritual beliefs. We are examining the architecture of two structures that are present at this site and try to reveal the secrets of the past. We will also discuss additional analytical methods that would help interpret the site and reflect on the challenges that exist when interpreting the past.
The article explains that the building of Chaco house is used for residential purposes, and provides three competing theories. However, the professor expanse that the houses were not use for residential purposes and refutes each of the author’s reasons.
For as long as humans have been around we have had cultural traditions specific to our species. The goal of archaeological research is to obtain a broad understanding of human culture. Archaeologists are interested in studying culture in the past and in the present through material remains. Remains include anything that was created or modified for use by humans. By studying culture in this way we gain insight into how different communities lived in different areas of the world. We see how our ancestors lived and how culture has changed over time as our ancestors adapted to their environments.
The LG V10 is a high end, unique phone that utilizes two screens, a main and a secondary screen, released in October 2015 [1]. The first of LG’s V-series, the V10 is considered to be a luxury variant of the LG G4, another flagship phone released earlier in the year [2]. Though the V10 did not make a huge splash in LG’s home country of Korea, the phone still packs quite the punch [3]. It features a fingerprint reader, two front-facing cameras, two displays, a removable battery, expandable storage, a steel frame, and much more [4]. Being the first in its line, the V10 does not have much to compare to other than its sister phone, the LG G4, but stands out among top tier phone manufacturers. Many different factors affected the design of the V10, such as global, environmental, social, and economic factors.
