The fact that America allowed Donald Trump the power to destroy us all is sickening. He has his hands on our nuclear launch codes, He can remove immigrants from our country, the LBGT community rights will be gone, and all of the minorities that live in the US life is in danger because this man has the power to try and end all the hard work we did. I can't believe the American people who voted for Trump are now allowing a racist, sexist, homophobic, and sexual assaulter the power over our once great nation. Do the people who voted for Trump really believe other countries are going to respect a puppet. We're always talking this big game about how America is the best country in the world and we act like we are better than every country. Well you
Fallacies are the mistakes made in an argument or the irrational reasoning, while one party tries to prove a point to benefit their side of the argument. Throughout the final presidential debate of 2016 multiple fallacies were found from both sides of the party, but were more strongly evident from the republican nominee Donald Trump. Fallacies should be avoided in order to deliver a successful argument. However, this debate was plagued with fallacies that made the argument baseless and illogical.
Americans have been breaded to believe America is the greatest country in the world. America is a place of the freedom and possibilities, an outside looking in a very desirable place to live. However, America is not as great as Americans believe. Sure Americans have a wider range of freedom then most countries, but has plenty of issues that will repulse others from coming to the land of the free. Issues such as women’s rights, racism, and discrimination plague U.S. citizens nearly each day and that should change now.
The “disturbances of collective order” (Durkheim 1915, 246) or norms with spikes in unemployment and increased competition in labor market could have resulted in what Durkheim referred to as anomic suicide. People’s lives have been greatly impacted and they are uncertain of the future in America. Trump argues that immigrants pose a competition in labor market and he promised to bring jobs back for American workers or the White working class. It’s harder for them to live with the decline of jobs because in the old economic order, White workers have greater opportunities for growth. When their expectation of themselves in the society is threatened, Trump’s promise
According to the information, Arizona has voted Republican for the past 4 years and years past. From the polls taken this year, Trump has more support but has not gained majority. According to the current real politics poll results, the margin of error could go either way for three out of four polls. Out of nine representatives, five are Republican, their two senators are both republican, and their state governor, is republican. In the graph of racial/ethnic breakdown of state population, over 50% of Arizona’s population is white alone. Trump has been offensive to others, so we can conclude that the 44.2% of the population will most likely not vote for Trump. But, this is still leaving a majority of the population who may vote for Trump. For
America: Land of the free and home of the brave. That was the idea that the people had hundreds of years ago. How they would feel now that we are a country that is enslaved to profit and not the least bit brave when it comes to speaking truth. Mark Shield, author of the article “Missing: Any Challenge for the Common Good,” brings to the attention of how todays tactic of running things has become more than a little undermining. The presidential campaign of 2016 has been no more than a bumbling mess for the past few months. Republican front-runner and celebrity, Donald Trump, has led his campaign with racist remarks and the promise of a wall he will not pay for, to separate borders. While the popular vote of the Democratic Party,
America has always been viewed as a country of freedom and hope, a place that rose from the ashes of war to become a great and shining place that welcomes all. Thinking of it like this is simply not how history works, however; we’ve had many dark times and secrets and twisted ways of dealing with anything and everything, and not all of our leaders have been ambitious and compassionate presidents. This comes most blatantly into play with the Watergate Scandal, a trail of deceit and cover-ups that lead Richard Nixon, 37th President of the United States, to his resignation from the government.
Trump sparked great controversy after he passed a travel ban which banned people from seven different Muslim majority countries, and put a hold on the refugee program indefinitely. Unfortunately, Trumps grace upon this wonderful country of ours was put on hold when a judge transgressed his boundaries and deemed the act unconstitutional. Refugees have been a problem to the world for the past decade or so, and have caused hardship to many people across the world, putting stress on the many different governments and the citizens of them. For too long, we the world, are stripped of our happiness and pleasure as we watch these ragged, pathetic beings cling onto what little life they have left like a slaughtered lamb still fighting back although
I hear continuously, the politicians in large rallies market how great America is, however I just don’t see it. We have the worst health in the entire world, civil conflict, highest payments toward education yet we have the least educated, and amoral exists in legislation all the way down to the state and local governments. We have public outcry and as a country have managed to refine democracy into something like our worst enemy. References have been made, and citizens within have revealed intentions of discontent.
Downgrading. That is this election in a nutshell. I have not felt more annoyed with politics and media outlets than ever before, since Donald Trump announced his candidacy on June 16, 2015 ,with those empty four words "Make America Great Again" , we learned that Trump is nothing, but a whining child that erupts on any ounce of criticism from either side. Why did he gain the support of voters with such minuet substance, like building a wall or banning all Muslims? I believe voters fell into the same trap as Bernie supporters , by appealing to people with on the spot ideas without any real consideration. The validity of free college is equivalent to building a wall paid for by Mexico, both are incompatible in the real world.
Donald Trump is racist, sexist, and he religiously discriminates. Furthermore, Donald Trump should have considered examining the constitution prior for running for the presidential election since many of his proposed ideas would be unconstitutional. The comments he has made toward other religions and races is mind boggling, and the only way he gets around it is by deceiving people and lying. A few people like some of the ideas Trump has proposed, but when they look at him from a distance he is a liar who would not benefit America. Furthermore, only someone with total ignorance could stand behind and vote for a person that is racist, and sexist. The framers of the constitution would look down on Trump because it clearly states that everyone
Overseeing the action of the armed forces, appointing treaties to be drafted, managing national affairs and being a figurehead for a great nation all imply that the individual holding the title of President has a great amount of power at their disposal. There are those indviduals who automatically come to mind talking about the President, people like JFK, FDR and Abraham Lincoln, people who left a profound impact on the nation. Then there are the back burner Presidents who do not come to mind at all, individuals like Franklin Pierce and Benjamin Harrison, who did not seem to have anything significant happen during their time as president. Some Presidents seem to have been incredibly powerful while others appear t be there just a
The United States, a beacon of freedom and opportunity, has been violated by the distasteful presidency of Donald Trump. A president, or any leader for that matter, should display honor, fortitude, and acceptance, none of which describe our leader. Mr. Trump exhibits every undesirable quality a political figure shouldn’t have, such as; insecurity, intolerance, and ineptitude.
Trump administration is becoming more dominant than others major corporation. However, I believe that the U.S citizens do not have a word of their own opinion. In order to have a voice or an opinion, its must require being very wealthy or own a major corporation. No doubt President Donald Trump is building an Autocracy government for an example in the article "Washington issued a temporary restraining order freezing enforcement of Trump’s immigrant and refugee ban"(1) this shows the example of what kind of power the president have. According to the constitution, Donald Trump is violating the rights of Muslims because of their religion, President Trump has a sensation that all Muslims are bad.
From a young age, Americans are taught to believe that their country is superior to any other nation. For example, students recite the Pledge of Allegiance every day, pledging loyalty to a flag with what seem like meaningless words for years until they realize just how significant “the pledge” is. The nature parallels those of oppressive societies, such as the Nazi Regime.
America has been a world power for as long as anyone can remember. But how did it become what it is today? Through decades of racism and greed! Our country is one of the most racist country’s there has ever been! But without it America would be nothing like it is today. Slavery made America and racism made it grow. America has proven itself to be a selfish, greedy, and racist country.
