It was just normal night of me and a group of friends at dinner. We just ordered our food so the whole table was discussion involving events that occurred during the week. The conversation lead to sports and Austin made a controversial statement by saying that Tom Brady was an overrated quarterback and he wouldn’t be close to the player he is without his teams’ system. That comment triggered Christopher who is a die-heart Tom Brady fan. Christopher then went on a rant how Tom Brady was the greatest quarterback of all-time. He defended Brady by saying: “Without Brady there is absolutely no way that the Patriots would have won four Super Bowl’s. Before Brady was the quarterback for the Patriots they had never won a Super Bowl.” Austin then responded explaining how he believed that Tom Brady benefited for playing under head coach Bill Belichick arguably the greatest coach of the …show more content…

Austin then argued how he believed Peyton Manning was the greatest quarterback of all time because he threw the most touchdown passes ever. Christopher snickered at his answer. He then was spewing about how Brady had won four Super Bowls while Manning only won two. Christopher uttered: “The difference between a good quarterback and a great quarterback is how well they do in the playoffs and Tom Brady in the playoffs is astronomically better than Peyton Manning.” Austin made his final opposition articulating that many football fans overvalue a player career based on how many Super Bowls they won. Instead he pronounced that people should put more stock into individual statistics rather than team statistics such as Super Bowl wins.
