In understanding ethical considerations, transformative thinking encourages learners to challenge and transform, not just remain hopeless. One of the interviewed students from Anacostia states “You live in a certain area and things are different” Gregory explains (p. 182). As I correlated the student’s statement with the experience of my past students, each one of them is correct. By examining my own findings, that is where I started questioning why students are distracted and hopeless. Based upon non-relatable and outdated curriculum, the instruction was another aspect as to why curriculum needs to be enhanced. Depending on the demographics and requirements a lot of the minority students are being taught by Caucasian women who have not been engrossed in the environment and can’t relate to the students. Consequently, through observation the learning become routine.
