But to begin, we must establish the fact that he didn’t actually land in America, but rather, he landed south in the Bahamas, and then found his way up to where we all assume he landed. At the time of Columbus’ travels, hundreds of other navigators were sailing around this unknown part of the world, and several had virtually the same course as Columbus, but arrived a little bit late. For example, John Cabot, an English explorer, was set out to New England in his travels, but landed in 1498, just 6 years after Columbus. What’s even more interesting is that Amerigo Vespucci (who America was ultimately named after) actually landed in Venezuela before Columbus did, and what’s more is that he made the same voyage as Columbus a few short years after in 1497. To conclude, the significance of Columbus’ voyage to America decreases significantly once you realize that there were at least two other explorers who followed the exact same path as him, and would’ve undoubtedly discovered America and the Bahamas shortly after Columbus, further proving that we should not celebrate Columbus

In grade school, we are taught that Christopher Columbus was the man who discovered America. Now that we are older, we have learned more in depth about him as a person and explorer. Not only did he set sail Westward in search of new findings, but that he would claim them as his own, eventually they would be inherited by his eldest son, and the generations after (Columbus, Journal, paragraph 1). Columbus did leave a legacy, nonetheless like every story, there are many obstacles that lay ahead.

With fifty men we could subjugate them all and make them do whatever we want.” where he described how they met the “Taino indigenous peoples of Hispaniola.” However we as students never questioned how is that Columbus “discovered” America while in his journals (1493) he states that he encountered with peoples that lived there before he arrived , even though it wasn 't really America. Whether you are arguing with your siblings, with a stranger at a baseball game, during a debate, with your parents or children, you are fighting for what you believe is right. You perceive yourself as the “victim” in the situation by trying to justify your reasoning behind the argument. Some people may perceive you as the good or as the evil because they believe that you have done nothing wrong, you were being perverse or fighting for the wrong reason. The epic poem Beowulf, is a super-eminent literary example that represents the good and evil in the characters and what they are fighting for. In this fictional poem, in which the author is unknown, the protagonist Beowulf encounters three major battles with a monster named Grendel, Grendel’s Mother, and a dragon. Each character is fighting for a certain reason and believe their reason is more dominant. The two audiences that view the characters as good or evil is the Danes and the narrator. Since the characters in the poem believe they're justified in their actions, they prove to not be all evil or all good. In fact, they should be judged based on the rationale behind their actions to fight.

Beowulf, is a poem about Beowulf himself killing monsters, and other humans who are not doing right. This poem is the oldest poem in the English language that is still being used in the education programs today. Beowulf rips people’s arms off, kills five monsters, and goes to save the people of Herot. Throughout the play Beowulf's followers continue to praise him for all his accomplishments In the epic poem Beowulf, Beowulf shows how to get glory from people, how to complete a mission, and how to keep your strenght.

A huge contributor to the big offense of day was Mr. reliable tight end Greg Olsen who had eight catches for a career-high 134 yards and two touchdowns! He took the Saints defense to school specifically cornerback Brandon Browner running right past him for a 52 yard chunk play that sparked the offense! The Saints left him wide open on many plays all I can say is thank you much appreciated! I continued to say this he is one of the best tight ends in the league;he is the veteran presence this offense needs with all the young players and Sunday his play seemed to rub off on the other receivers and opening up other big plays for the offense great execution all around and once again thank you to the Chicago Bears for giving us Greg Olsen!
