There are about 15 major sites in the world for big waves surfing that are the most amazing and challenging for a professional surfer. In this article, I chose to present three of them in what I consider the most incredible and life threatening experience.
Here’s a description of three of the most incredible surfing heavens for daredevil pros:
Waimea Bay This picture was taken at Waimea Bay, located on the north shore of Oahu.
People have been surfing at this location since 1943 and today, in my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful places to surf. But, there were many tragic deaths. In 1995, a Californian pro surfer Donnie Solomon died after getting caught inside a 20 feet wave.

Throughout many decades there has been a huge environmental problem, not only putting marine life at risk but also human health. Ocean pollution is a big threat to the habitat and still today we haven’t stopped throwing trash, chemicals or toxins into the oceans. During the 1940’s, a technical service of the Army dumped a lot of chemical warfare into the sea, believing the type of gas will dissolve in the water becoming harmless in minutes. At that time, fishermen were able to catch a lot of fish, it wasn’t until they were out of luck and all they could see were dead fish floating on the surface. Many people think that oil spills and trash are the only types of ocean pollution, but they’re also forgetting about chemical, bacterial and thermal pollution. Polluted seas can be the cause of many diseases or infections, especially if people don’t take big measures like telling their kids not to “accidentally” drink water from rivers or lakes when swimming. Marine animals are a big part of our food chain if they carry diseases or toxins we’re also in big danger. Today, there have been many people who have been trying to stop others from polluting the oceans, but they still haven’t been able to convince the whole world to end ocean pollution. The government, instead of wasting money on unnecessary things like building walls or building more towers and creating more trash they should build trash contractors that will help with the trash floating around in the seas. There are
In the article it states. In the grace of the ocean or the power of the waves some people think when did surfing begin? We know it wasn’t a happy go lucky beach boy from the 80s. Most people believe it was invented by fisherman to get their fish into shore quickly. Later it became a sport of kings the richest people and the kings had up to about 18 to 24 feet long. Instead of calling it surfing the Hawaiians “he e nalu,” or wave sliding. In 1777 Captain James Cook observed canoe surfing in Tahiti and wrote “I can not help concluding that the man had great pleasure!” But do to the Europeans coming to Hawaii they got a lot of diseases and cause most surfing to stop. In 1866 a man named Mark Twain went to Hawaii to rediscover the past and brought
Seaworld is has a lot of aquariums in the United States and all other the world . Many people in the past want to see and experience life under the sea. Seaworld was ideal place to do this. These locations including place in Orlando, San Diego, and many more. They main attraction is there Orcas which they have the largest population of Orcas than any other competitors. Orcas are killer whale, that they capture which very unethical because they are taking natural habitat which Orcas are dependent on.
As I looked backed at what seemed to be a decent sized wave, I started paddling with all my might, digging through the water, deeper and deeper. The wave came closer and I felt a push from my cousin as I caught the wave. “Stand up” my cousin yelled behind me as the monstrous wave began to swallow me up. I stood up, rode the wave all the way to the shore, and fell in love with the sport of surfing. Since that day, I have loved everything one could ever love about the sport: The salty water as it touched my body, the push of the wave as it stood me up on my smooth yet sticky board, and the exhilarating rush that I felt after every perfect ride. But not quite everything about the sport came easy to me, it took a long ride to find the love I have for the sport today. When I first started competitively surfing, I
The SURFRIDER FOUNDATION is a non-profit organization that works to protect and preserve the world’s oceans, waves, and beaches. The site shows their dedication to bringing awareness to the problems our oceans are facing, cleaning up and taking care of the beaches that are both closed, and open throughout the world. Nationwide, in just about every state, some portion of the beach is public land, which means that all members of the public have the right to use that portion of the beach. Surfrider recognizes that access to public beaches is the public’s right of access to waterways. The foundation also realizes the safety hazards of having a polluted ocean. Polluted oceans can mean dangers for swimmers and for other sea creatures that are important to us and our well-being. This beach friendly foundation is working very hard to preserve and protect our oceans, waves, and beaches and is making progress in doing so.
There could possibly be a sulfide mine going up in northern Minnesota by the Boundary Waters, run by PolyMet, a Canadian mining company. I do not support this mine whatsoever.
First, you need to know the safety precautions. You absolutely have to know how to swim and be able to swim well. If this is a problem for you, you can easily contact a nearby gym (like YMCA) for and instructor to teach you how. Another growing issue with surfing is the strong currents and tidal waves. There are ways to predict the safety of the water on that particular day, but for now, just ask the
Earth's oceans are dying. “About 80% of the ocean around the world is polluted with chemicals industrial and residential waste, all of which comes from the land” (“Marine Problems…”). Pollution is mainly coming from the people. Marine pollution should be stopped because it is the cause of many problems and if something is done about it, people will see an increase in sea life and healthier waters. It makes its way into the ocean and kills marine life. Ocean pollution is affecting the way of fisherman and their everyday lives. It is also very bad on the community because pollution is very bad on tourism. Ocean pollution should be stopped because it is poorly affecting marine life, it is not good for fishermen, and is very bad on tourism.
either not too far ahead or not too far behind them, which is a valid assumption to make. Since, during the months of April and May up to 50 thru-hikers
The photo above is the photo I think should be removed. I think it should be replaced because it does not really represent the Pacific maritimes wildlife. There are so many other animals that can be found in the pacific maritime. For example there are Black-tailed Deer, Black and Grizzly bears, Mountain Lion, Fisher, Chestnut-backed Chickadee. Some water animals are Sea Lions, Seals, and whales. I think if animals are going to be shown at least a variety of them should be shown. I don't see any point in showing bears over any of the other animals in the Pacific maritime. I chose the photo at the bottom to replace the one on top because agriculture is actually a big part of the pacific maritime. The pacific maritime also has very rich soil
Smooth Sailing is a private company that operates one cruise ship. Recently, pirate activity in the area where the cruise ship operates has increased, thus affecting the cruise ship’s potential future cash flows. The cash flow decline has directly contributed to a decline in the overall fair value of the cruise ship.
There are four named oceans in the world: Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, and Arctic. Roughly 70% of the earth’s oxygen is produced by marine plants and only 27% by rainforests. Over 80% of ocean pollution comes from land based activity. This activity can include, but is not limited to, burning oil and not recycling plastics. With knowing those statistics, people should undoubtedly be more concerned with our ocean’s health and well being than what they currently are. Yes, there are a copious amount of websites that accept donations but there are other ways that do not involve breaking the bank to save and protect the oceans. By using reusable plastics, reducing our carbon footprint, and buying ocean-friendly products and food, the oceans dying process could not completely stop, but slow down drastically.
Great waves toss and turn with great force. Rushing as they collide with the earth soaking the soft sand. The ocean seemed to be howling as every wave grew as tall as a mountain. Slowly, the water creeps forward, then lazily seeping back in the vast ocean, only to do the same over and over again. The deep sea is a mysterious place where sea creatures lurk beneath the waves. Blue, sparkling water is everywhere you look with no end. The humming waves seem to whisper as if telling me the most confidential secret. You can never really hear them clearly until you dive in deeper and deeper.
A fabled and unreal story told by the devilish seas and the terror-stricken voices of the people who've escaped the sunken ships and planes that cry from beneath the floors of the home of mysteries finally ascents back to the lapping waves upon the surface, screeching out what really hides under the streaming walls of the Bermuda Triangle. The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle based on the countless disappearances, is an unfolded riddle that is known to be an alarming part of the world because of the swallowed ships and planes from many others going there. Although theories of this place being an aircraft and sea travelers ravaging beast, it has logical and non-distressing reasoning to act in dangerous manners. With reasons that include environmental situations, strange weather patterns, and human error, it stands more on the sensible and coherent end of the line than what others may think, but still has head-scratching standpoints and explanations to side with. These evidences contain critical striking points to prove what really makes up the Bermuda Triangle from bizarre assumptions to rational arguments.
Recycling and going green has been at the forefront of everyone's mind for the last 10 years. It has become a major concern to able to preserve the planet and reverse some of the damage that society has been inflicting over the last two hundred years. Everyone's concerned with emissions and electric cars but the world is in fact over two-thirds water. So naturally what society should be concerned about should be the oceans in the pollution and negative human impact that people have placed on them. Part of the problem as an initial estimate of the amount of plastic is not accurate. Not to mention incredible environmental and ecological effects the plastic has on marine life. Ocean plastic has reached a critical level where human intervention needs to take place.
