Illegal Immigration. One of the world's most controversial topics. Should illegal immigrants be welcomed into the United States, nor shall they not? In my dearest beliefs, I side with illegal immigration being welcomed with open arms. Although illegal immigration is unauthorized and troublesome, according to economic reports and history, the problem is not building a wall, it is not letting people live their lives in peace and freedom.
Those who are opponents of illegal immigration often claim illegal immigration cause distress on the economy and speak of the topic as unnecessary. One source supporting how illegal immigration is affecting the U.S. is Morrison, P. Spencer and his article “Illegal Immigration must be stopped” In his article he states that if you support illegal immigration you are “clueless, ignorante, and a selfish person,”(Web). He continues to say how the only people benefiting living in this country with illegal immigrants are the wealthier class and how unfair it is to the lower and middle class. Who are getting affected by illegal immigrants because of the cost of taxes Americans pay. “ Illegal immigrants cost the American government, and therefore taxpayers, far more than they contribute in taxes.” (Web). Morrison also states that the government spends 110.1 billion dollars every year on illegal immigrants instead of using it on legal Americans who are in need of food, shelter, and other necessities

Immigration has been a burning issue lately, particularly after Donald Trump’s immigration ban in the United States of America. It has been a topic that families discuss every morning with breakfast. Despite many concerns related to immigration, it has several positive benefits that mostly outweighs the negativity. People bizarrely argue when it comes to immigration, but these arguments are primarily based on facts and ideas that are outdated or inconsistent and blindfold the positive aspect related to immigration. Many immigrants in the United States are good workers who don't depend upon any public welfare and mostly help in the overall development of the economy. As a country made by immigrants, we must not forget the fact that immigrants have helped to build cities and create a path of development form Google to iPhones (Gray & Furman, 2012). These facts are secluded, and some related arguments with different content have been repeated for years and continue. Immigrants have a lot to give the United States rather than to take, especially when it comes to economic terms.
Among the presidential candidates for the year 2016, Republican representative Donald Trump seems to have the most ridiculous and controversial campaign ideas. One of his more known campaign ideas has to do with banning Muslims from the United States. He generalized that all Muslims currently, or plan to act as, terrorists who will launch attacks on US soil. Building a wall on the border between US and Mexico is another well known idea of his, especially because he wants Mexico has to pay the cost for the wall’s construction. Even though politicians may paint immigration in a negative light, the United States relies on immigrants to help its economy, so it should not opt to throw them out of the country.
Matt Mendoza believes in immigration reform, but we must put into place a firm foundation to build upon, a foundation that is rock solid in protecting America’s borders and its citizens by forcing Washington to fulfill its Constitutional duty of enforcing the laws we already have in place.
Regardless of the common claims that are directed at immigrants, there are many statistics that support the more positive aspect of these “aliens.” One of the many things that cause many people to oppose immigration are that many immigrants have low living standards or are simply living off of government welfare programs. The Center for American Progress actually stated that “Less than one in five immigrants live in poverty, and they are no more likely to use social services than the native-born Americans” (CAP,
The walls are caving inside one’s hiding place and all one hears is the screams of their cherished friends being brutally assaulted by law enforcement that is suppose to be our protectors, who turn out to be the devil hidden in the flesh. One could nothing, but continue to hear the screaming and pray that the terror does not find him or her. One continues to cower under fear and wait for the sun to rise again to live under fear for another day. Each day goes by with one always looking behind his or her shoulders wondering if they, immigration, are coming for them and are the people, he or she trusts, will sell them out.The thoughts of abandonment, fear, and betrayal are constantly running through the families that do not have a piece of paper,
According to West, in the last fall would be hard to think Republicans and Democrats working together to fix the immigration system. However, now Democrats and Republicans announced their support of a bipartisan reform solution. Since the Senate is going towards action, House Republicans think the country should be open to immigrants, and the President Barack Obama is giving priority to the immigration reform. Thus, the country seems to be close to solving this important issue. Even there are still many steps to overcome; there were some changes in the politics of immigration reform in the past few months for instance in 2004, Romney got only 27 % of Hispanic Vote, down from Bush's 44 %. The poor performance of Republican Mitt Romney in the
The issue of Immigration is a controversial debate that is currently being argued between many Americans regarding undocumented immigrant rights. This issue is significant because Americans and undocumented immigrants living in the United States face a problem everyday which is violence. Undocumented immigrants have and deserve rights including the rights to work. They are not being treated with the equality and freedom that America promises therefore undocumented workers should be allowed to work unmolested.
Even though the reform should be passed there are also some things that immigrants should do to show that they are willing to do whatever it takes to be accepted in this country. The main thing they should work on is to learn the primary language of the U.S, which is English. Immigrants need to prove once again of what they are capable of. Even if immigrants are in a really good percentage of speaking English they still have to work harder. According to Julia Beckhusen one of the journalists in charge to collect information for the U.S Census Bureau,“The majority of the Mexican immigrants (close to two-thirds) do not speak English well.” This seems to be a big problem among the immigrants. Why is it good to learn the language? “English-speaking
Statistics indicate that forty million citizens, or 13% of the entire U.S. population, are foreign born. I am one of these forty million. Unfortunately, discussions about immigration have come to revolve around curtailment, rather than about immigrants themselves. Presidential candidate Donald Trump has risen to fame by painting immigrants as “murderers, thieves, and rapists.” Trump’s popularity signifies a radical shift from the time in which the words, “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free... I lift my lamp beside the golden door,” were boldly inscribed onto the Statue of Liberty. Immigrants are no longer seen as people, but as a pathology. Even discussions about the benefits of immigration aren’t about immigrants themselves, but about what immigration can do for the national economy. As if an immigrant's value to society can only be measured in terms of capital.
I believe that immigrants should be let into the USA and there should be no restriction on allowing who comes in and out. However, I do believe in the safety of any citizen or person living in the United States. Because of this, I think that each immigrant should be scanned. Previously said during the discussion, immigrants really boost our economy and keep our culture young and new. “Successive waves of immigrants have kept our country demographically young, enriched our culture and added to our productive capacity as a nation, enhancing our influence in the world.” (Griswold, CATO institute) Immigrants bring new ideas and fresh minds to a hard topic. A current misconception is that immigrants take away jobs from Americans. However, the CATO
The Article Immigration Policy: Should the U.S. government take stricter measures to limit illegal immigration (February 9, 2017), focuses on whether the U.S. should adopt stricter measures for illegal immigration. Supporters believe that illegal immigrants pose a threat to national security. Undocumented immigrants are not in the system, so their criminal records are inaccessible. Additionally, supporters believe that immigrants take the jobs of Americans. Companies tend to give immigrants jobs because they will work for cheap wages. However, the opponents of the law believe stricter measures for illegal immigrants shouldn’t be done because most of the country's technological breakthroughs are due to immigrants. Opponents believe that immigrants help the economy because they take the jobs that not many workers take, such as farming or physical work. Immigration policy argument will continue until there is common ground established between everyone whether to there should be stricter measures or another way for them to become documented.
Immigration has become a big topic once again, due to President Trump trying to take down DACA, a way that former President Obama had issued to protect DREAMers against deportation. There are those who are anti-immigration because those individuals believe that undocumented aliens don’t belong in their country and that only those who were born in the US should be the only one living in the US, and others who believe that no matter what country you come from doesn’t matter. “Anti-immigration forces wanted to avoid at all cost the perception that they were opposing immigration reform based purely on xenophobia” (94). So, then the next step of organizations that are anti-immigration are to take action and do what they do best, tell a lie, to cover up the truth and so more harsh consequences are taken when debating about what the next step is for immigrants and its policy about immigration.
There are millions of immigrants in the United States that are here illegally. Many immigrants are here to both find a job and get an education, while others are here just to be here. Illegal immigrants should not be able to cross the border whether they were granted citizenship or not. Undocumented immigrants should not be rewarded with citizenship for breaking the immigration laws such as crossing the border without a green card, and having false documentation to drive or work. There is a proposed immigration reform and amnesty if passed that would secure our borders, improve our immigration system, remove incentives that entered the country illegally, bring undocumented immigrants out the shadows, and also work with Mexico to decrease illegal immigration.

According to UNHCR a refugee agency, 65.3 million people are living in war zones. Another 5.5 billion people of all faiths face some form of religion persecution, including physical violence. People are unsafe in their own countries and homes, so they escape to other countries in search of a better chance at life. However, some of them break the rules to gain access to other countries. This results in illegal immigration. Illegal immigration is a major issue for countries around the world. According to Pew Resource, 11 million unauthorized immigrants are living in the United States. An illegal immigrant can be defined as a person who crosses the border by avoiding inspection or without a visa. This phenomenon is making countries blame
