At many other labs the owners of them require its scientist to have to kind of animal care certification (Wade). At many labs they have a class that the scientist can take so that they are qualified to work at their lab (Wade). Most labs will also have animal care professionals on their site to take care of the animals. But sometimes, the caretakers aren’t caring for the animals, and they end up suffering from even more pain (Wade).
Governments all over the world have been trying to make laws to protect animals inside and outside of labs. The United States government has promoted a need standard that if research labs follow this new program, “3Rs”, they are able to get money from the government (Wolff). But, in reality it is a significant problem that is extremely difficult to resolve. If animal test is completely banned, we would then have to find other things to test on. Human beings could be used for testing, but that would be very dangerous. I believe that we need to limit the experiments to as little as possible that we can. Making a profit off of animals is wrong, and is relatively simple to end. There is no need to have puppy mills when there are thousands of dogs, and other animals that are stranded in ASPCA’s that are ready to be adopted. Instead of helping the people who are making thousands of dollars a month off of mistreating animals, adopt a dog or any animal from the ASPCA. There, it is free and you are saving the life of an animal. Lastly, animal racing is complete nonsense. If we train human hours a day running on treadmills and running on tracks, we would see the abuse and how it is inhumane for for any living thing. What is the difference between that and doing it to dogs? Banning dog races is just around the corner. In our society, it is clear to see that humans have a way of thinking that only benefits us. We don't care about other species that live on earth. In an article that Los Angeles Times put out, it said that when a dog gazes into the owner's eyes, it means that you are the world to them (Those Puppy-dog Eyes). Clearly, animals care more about us than we care about
