As a student of Montevallo High School and a representative of my school’s Student Government Association, I am writing you for an assignment in my AP history class requesting your support in the backing of the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act.
The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act is a bill that has been passed through the house that is meant to amend federal crime code to now allow the abortion option to be illegal if a fetus is of 20 weeks old in the womb, unless having a labile cause such as rape or incest. I agree with this bill and believe it should be passed and become a law because within twenty weeks a woman and spouse, if involved, should be able to come to a decision of whether they are ready and able to take care of a baby or not. If they choose that they are not, that is okay

One example is adoption, which allows for the baby when born to have a better chance at having the privilege to be apart of a family that shall love and care for the child as deserved. I myself am a prime example. I was born in India and for a reason I am unsure of was put up for adoption not only once but twice. I see my adoptions as blessings rather than bad fortune and am thankful that my biological parents did not choose abortion when realizing they would not be able to take care of me properly. But if the parents of a child they are not ready for believe that adoption might not be the right choice and they want to try to keep their baby but can’t afford it, abortion still is not the answer. There is also the option for the family or single parent to apply for medicare, in which then the government, if eligible, would provide money to support the child. One should also realize at the twentieth week of pregnancy, four months and two weeks along, the fetus has already formed distinct features such as the head, eyelids, arms, hands, legs, feet and even eyebrows. The fetus has some
There is an ancient Chinese proverb which states that when a child is born an invisible red thread connect that child's soul to all those people - present and in the future that will impact her life (Lin, 2006). Audrey Doering, a Chinese adoptee, received a special gift this Christmas when she learned she had an identical twin. China has long been the number one county for international adoptions and the United States leads in adoptions from China. While adoption isn't new, the number of famous people adopting from Asia is surprising.
No matter the underlying motives for adoption, the process is one with self-fulfilling rewards, no matter the age of the adopted child. In an article by a mother who adopted an eight year old, she briefly explains the struggles she encountered because of her daughter’s age. She mentions that she initially did not have the intention of adopting an older child, but her son convinced her to adopt the “sad girl.”
When we speak about adoptions, we commonly think about a couple going into a legal contract to care for a child that they themselves did not bear or we may think about a pet. With both of these cases there are careful considerations that we need to take into account. For a child the parents to be may be thinking about if they want a boy or a girl, what kind of diapers and formula to purchase, and how to furnish the room, just to mention a few things. For a pet we will take into consideration the species and the breed. Do we want a dog, cat, fish, snake, and what are the implications of having that pet. What is the best type of nourishment, shelter, and care is widely researched. If we spend so much time researching all of these things for children and pets; why are we not spending the time that we need in researching our plants? After all, without the proper shelter, nutrition and care plants will not be able to flourish.
Did you know that international adoption is a real argument between people? International adoption is a big topic between people; they either like it or hate it. Overall International adoption should be more acceptable considering the cost, the benefits, and various country exchanges.
What is adoption? A dictionary would tell you it is “The act of adopting: the state of being adopted,” but is that really all it is (“Webster’s New Collegiate…”)? Many would say it’s less cold than the words crudely printed on that sheet. It gives a child a home and somewhere to be, with someone that loves them and will take care of them (“Adoption with the...”).Some would say adoption is a good thing, I am one of those people. The amount of children in foster care is steadily increasing, while the amount of kids being adopted per year are steadily decreasing (Johnson). One of my uncles went through this system. He had a mother who had beaten and abused from when he was just a baby. My grandma went to visit him occasionally
The disadvantages outweigh the advantages of terminating parental rights because the state thinks only about the well being of the child. The state should not be terminating parental rights because there are psychological issues with the child while being adopted, their schoolmates or friends believe they are socially unacceptable to them, and the birth parents are traumatized by their loss of one or more children (Impact=Birth Parents). In the U.S. 397,122 children are living without permanent families in the foster care system. 101,666 of these children are eligible for adoption, but nearly 32% of these children will wait over three years in foster care before being adopted. On any given day, over 415,000 children are living in the U.S. foster care system and the number has been rising. Nearly 108,000 of these children are eligible for adoption and they will wait, on average, four years for an adoptive family.
If you were to go on the streets of any major city and ask citizens if they are pro life or
If you are the stepparent for a child due to new marriage, there is a possibility that you’ll have the opportunity to officially adopt them. This can come up for a variety of circumstances, such as their biological parent not being around, or their biological parent deciding to give you permission to adopt their child. These are a few things to consider when adopting a stepchild.
Do you know anybody who has an adopted daughter or son, or maybe somebody who has been adopted? When you're getting adopted that means you have a new family who will take care of you. When you are getting adopted it might be terrifying because you usually would have to go to court. When you are going to court people usually want to think that you did something really bad. Well, that's not the case. When you tell you them that you are getting adopted the people would actually might be so happy and blessed to be here.
Firstly, even though foster children are not own kids, I believe parent can still give them selfless love. Probably the same problem that everyone comes to mind will be, “Can we give the foster child 100 percent love, treating them as our own child?” Especially when the family who already have their own child at first, they might think it is hard to embrace the other child. However, in my opinion, it is an unnecessary question if the couple decide adopting because of infertility problem. Since they cannot have kids by themselves, adoption might be their only solution to their desire of raising children. They have an aspiration of having a child for so long, and eventually, they are able to have a child. If I were the mother, I will cherish
Adoptions are also an option for unexpected mothers to turn to. One reason women choose adoption is because women are afraid to go through the abortion process. The possible risks scare these mothers which some consequences including the high risk of suicide, incomplete abortions, and possible damage to the uterus. (NHS Choices. NHS. May 14th 2018.) The second reason for adoption is because the mother wants their baby to have a future. “When a woman finds herself unexpectedly pregnant, it may be at a time in her life where she’s simply not ready for all of the responsibilities of parenthood. She may be completing her education or focusing on her career, or she may feel that she is too young or unprepared at this point in her life to offer
An position argumentative should try to convince readers to adopt the position or consider it. In order to achieve this there are four things that should be clear in the argument. Firstly, there needs to be a well-presented issue. To present the issue effectively, writers must focus on a specific aspect of their issue, one they can address fully. If readers are likely to be unfamiliar with an issue a writer will need to establish the issues significance. To establish the importance of the issue it is good to quote a resected authority and also cites statistics. Also consider how to frame the issue given the intentional audience. After the focus is established a well-supported position comes next. Credible evidence is both relevant and representative;
You walk into a pet store; ewww you squeal. There is a corral full of wriggling cute little puppies. You are promptly in the pen playing with the animals. They fall over one another to earn a bit of your affection. You cannot help but fill with the desire to take one home to be your own. You envision the love you will give and receive from the cutest puppy to ever live. I beg you not to. When you buy a pet, you are contributing to a profit driven industry that harms numerous animals.
400,000; That is the unbearably large number of how many chor a permanent home in the United States alone. Roughly 29% of these kids will spend a ildren don’t have parents minimum of 3 years in foster care; hopping from one home to the next. Yearly, only about 135,000 kids are adopted in the U.S. With numbers being so low in adoption rates, and many couples hoping to find a beautiful child to make legally theirs, we ask ourselves, how is this possible? It takes months to years for an adoption process to be fulfilled completely. Adoption should be a cheaper, easier and quicker process to complete because those children need a home to reside in.
Adoption means to legally take another’s child and bring bit up one’s own. It is by choice into a relationship to take a child of others parents as one’s own, to accept that child completely and formally. This means to take on the legal responsibilities and to become the owner and caretaker of it. This is the main issue these days which has become very common which affects the society in both good and bad ways. It is a lifelong process. Choosing to adopt a child is a huge decision but the decision making does not end there. Keeping in mind that the foster child has some emotional issues or special needs of some kind that needs to be addressed. That is why the adoptive parents should be very open and honest with their children regarding where
