I have chosen the constellation "Aries". I have chosen this constellation because it is also my Zodiac symbol. Aries is one of twelve of the Zodiac Constellations. It is in the northern celestial hemisphere. It is between Pisces and Taurus. Aries is the Latin name for ram. It's symbol is Aries.svg, which represents a ram's horns. Aries is a mid-sized constellation. It ranks 39th in overall size. It has an area of 441 square degrees, which is 1.1% of the celestial sphere. Aries represents the ram whose fleece became the Golden Fleece of Ancient Greek Mythology, even though Aries has been represented as a ram since the times of Babylon. Before the Babylonian times the stars that make up Aries formed a farmhand. Aries has been interpreted different …show more content…
Alia was the daughter of the King. He was very protective over her, and didn't approve of any guys she had loved ever. She just wanted to love whoever she pleased, so she went out into town. There she saw a guy standing by the fruit cart. She walked over and started talking to him. They instantly fell in love. Alia brought the boy, Pollo, back to the castle after spending some more time getting to know him. She said, "Father, I love this man, and if you don't approve of him I will still continue to see him. I just want to love someone whether you like them or …show more content…
He could not sleep, He could not eat, He could not even drink. He prayed to the gods to save his love Alia. The next morning the guards from the castle came to get him, to watch Alia be killed by her own father. He didn't talk. When they arrived to the castle, they took him to the punishment room and had his hands and feet chained, so he couldn't try and get up to save Alia. They also chained his neck so tight he was forced to look down at her. When he would close his eyes they would stab him in the hand. Finally some guards brought Alia onto the floor. She was wearing a long, white, flowy dress. Her father walked in holding a sword. He stood over her. Alia was brave, she didn't cry, didn't speak, didn't move, just waited for her death to come. The king held the sword in the air and started to bring it down when a ram, with golden fleece, charger into him, and knocked him down. The ram had been sent by Zeus, who heard Pollo's prayers. The ram tore the chains off of Alia with his horns and threw her onto his back. The ram then ran to Pollo and knocked down all of the guards surrounding him. He again tore off the chains using his horns and Pollo jumped onto the rams back behind Alia. She looked behind her shoulder and stared into his eyes. They hugged and she started weeping. He held onto her as the ram ran out of the castle. He took them to a distant land where they lived normal, happy lives.
I chose the constellation Andromeda because the back story and myths it has really fascinates me! I feel that some of the myths behind the consolations can be rather boring, but with the romance and danger all wrapped into one, I continue going back to it. This constellation is the 19th largest in the sky and is located in the first quadrant of the northern hemisphere. It takes seven-hundred-twenty-two square feet in the sky!
I have chosen the Perseus Constellation. I chose that contallation because I have always liked the Greek Gods mythology. Perseus, named after the Greek Mythology hero, is a constellation in the Northen Sky. Perseus is bordered by Aries and Taurus to the south, Auriga to the east, Camelopardalis and Cassiopeia to the north, and Andromeda and Triangulum the west.
The constellation that I have chosen is Capricornus. Capricornus is one of the twelve zodiac constellations, and it symbolizes the sea-goat. The best time to see this constellation would be at ten o'clock at night in September and October, especially if you live in the Northern Hemisphere. I chose this constellation because according to Astrology I am a Capricorn and thought it would be interesting to know more about the constellation relating to my zodiac sign. Capricornus has five stars with planets in it's constellation.
The Taurus constellation is one of the zodiac constellations. It is a very prominent constellation in the northern hemisphere during the winter. I chose this constellation because the Taurus is my zodiac sign. The constellation symbolizes the bull; a cow like animal with large horns on it's head. The Taurus constellation boarders the Auriga, Perseus, Aries, Cetus, Eridanus, Orion, and Gemini constellations. The constellation consists of nineteen main stars. Four of those stars are brighter than 3.00m.
Aquarius is my favorite constellation because its my zodiac sign and so i feel more attached to it than others! Plus Aquarius in Fairy tail is pretty cool. Aquarius's name is Latin for "water bearer" and it's symbol is obviously water. The constellation lies by the constellations Pisces and Capricornus. The constellation is the 10th largest in the sky and was discovered by Ptolemy.
My favourite constellation is the Aquarius one. I particularly like this constellation because I love the mythology behind it. It is said the the Greeks connected the Aquarius constellation with Ganymede who was known as the cup bearer to the gods. According to the myth, apparently Ganymede was a handsome young boy who Zeus had an interest for. Ganymede was brought to Mount Olympus by Zeus, where he served as cup bearer to the gods and there he was granted eternal youth after he poured out Zeus wine and water which caused a great flood because he didn't want to serve drinks anymore.
I have chosen the constellation Scorpius. I chose Scorpius because it is one of the most interesting looking constellations (in my opinion), and it contains many bright stars. Scorpius means scorpion in Latin, and it is a zodiac sign, although its name is changed to Scorpio. It is in the southern hemosphere, and it lies between Sagittarius and Libra.
I've decided to write about the constellation called Sagittarius. I've chosen this specific constellation because my zodiac sign is Sagittarius. It has been listed by the astronomer Ptolemy in 2nd century. The word Sagittarius means Archer and it's derived from Latin. It's usually represented by a centaur drawing a bow.
I chose Sagittarius for my favorite constellation. Sagittarius is latin for Archer and sits next to Scorpius on the west and Capricornus to the East. I chose this constellation because it is my astrology constellation and I wanted to learn more about it.
Its name means “the twins” in Latin. Gemini is one of the zodiac constellations, first cataloged by the Greek astronomer Ptolemy in the 2nd century. The constellation represents the twins Castor and Pollux (Poly deuces), also known as the Dioscuri in ancient times, in Greek mythology.
I chose the constellation of Aries because of it's fascinating history and it's story in mythology. It's located in the northern hemisphere between Pisces to the west and Taurus to the east. It's name is latin for ram and because of that it's sign represents ram's horns. This constellation possesses only four stars: Hamal(Alpha Arietis, second magnitude ) , then Sheratan ( Beta Arietis, third magnitude ) and at last Mesarthim and 41 Arietis ( both of them Gamma Arietis, forth magnitude ).
My favorite constellation is the Capricornus constellation. I don't know much about constellations, so this is my favorite mainly because in astrology (and I'm aware it's different from astronomy) my sign is Capricorn. Capricornus is supposed to create the image of a goat with the tail of a fish. This is because Capricorn has this form, and so the constellation is based off of the astrological zodiac.
Perhaps my favorite constellation is Lepus, ‘the Hare’. I like the association of Lepus, the hare, with the lunar mythology of China, especially the relationship with the moon rabbit. There is also something haunting about the eternal hunt, the chase that is etched upon the stars of Lepus, the hunter Orion, and his dogs in Greek mythology. Lepus does not represent any major figure in Greek Mythology but it was one of the 48 constellations listed by the ancient astronomer Ptolemy. Today it remains as one of the modern constellations.
The constellation I have chosen is Hercules. The reason I have chosen him is because, Hercules signals strength and will. Which are two things I think everyone should have. Another reason is because, he was one of the original 48 constellations found by one of my favorite astronomers, Ptolemy. Today it remains as one of the 88 most common ones. It is also the fifth largest of all the major constellations.
My favorite constellation is Scorpius. I have chosen Scorpius because that is my Zodiac sign, and I have come to learn about it a lot in the past few years. Scorpius is Latin for "scorpion," and Scorpius is in between the constellation Libra to the west and Sagittarius to the east.
