The case started when, on November 15, 1982, in Anchorage, Alaska. On that day, Kusmider’s girlfriend told him that she had been sexually assaulted by Arthur Villella, a subject who was known to both of them (Justia, n.d.). After being told this, Kusmider went to Villella’s house and confronted him about the allegations, which had been made by his girlfriend. During the confrontation, Kusmider shot Villella in the throat, causing damage to His throat, above his Adam’s apple, and several smaller blood vessels in that region of the body. This injury caused Villella’s trachea to fill with blood, and for the blood to flow down into his lungs (Justia, n.d.). After the shooting, emergency medical assistance was summoned to the scene.

Police officer’s participation in ethical/unethical shootings and/or patterns of excessive force practices has shown a greater prevalence in low-income black communities’ statewide more often than white communities. Eruptions of anger due to the outcome of civil proceedings leading to civil protests, violence, and the creation of various pro-black groups have shown greater evidence of a widespread issue meanwhile having a domino effect in cities and states across the nation. In the wake of the death of Eric Garner, Michael Brown, Tamir Rice, Freddy Gray, all killed by white police officers during apprehension cities in the states: Cleveland, Pennsylvania, St. Louis, and Baltimore have
There are many views about gun control especially about assault weapons. People are both for it and against it. The people who are for the ban believes the weapons can only be used for violence. They don’t want to recognize that people against the ban have several different reasons to own their guns. These reasons can vary; some people just want protection; others want to use their guns for sport. This pleasurable pastime will also provide a variety of food to supplement family grocery supplies and to help people save on food costs. Instead of making more gun control laws the ones we have should be enforced.
The general argument made in the article is that over the years there have been so many accounts of police brutality against students that haven’t been acknowledged. More specifically it argues that police officers that don’t know how to handle large crowds or protests in a nonviolent way then they should have to go back to school to learn better ways. It states "Tear-gassing students while they sought refuge in their rooms was an act of terror by the police. Someone has to explain and justify why they needed to chase the students from the hostels. Chase them to where?" In this passage it is suggesting that police brutality needs to be ended and those officers who have commited these acts should be held accountable. In conclusion, its belief
The use of deadly force by police officers is a very important subject in today’s society. Many consider the use of deadly force excessive in most cases. However, there are many aspects to look at when considering this topic, such as: Why was deadly force required? When did the officer feel it necessary to apply deadly force? What will be the implications for the officer after the fact? How does the use of deadly force affect society as a whole?
After the incident, first responders administered CPR and treated the victim's wounds that he got on the back, shoulder, and head after he was shot by the gun.
In conclusion to Angellina’s argument, she discussed with you, jury, the statistical standpoint that gun violence and accidents are more common in the U.S. than in any other country in the world, but this isn’t actually correct. The online article, “Gun Violence: How The U.S. Compares With Other Countries.” states that the “U.S. has the 31st highest rate in the world: 3.85 deaths due to gun violence per 100,000 people.” This isn’t the only source notifying that her statistics are actually incorrect, but another online article,” Countries With The Highest Rates Of Firearm Related Deaths,” addressed, “Honduras experiences more firearm-related deaths than any other country in the world. Here, 67.18 firearm-related deaths per 100,000 people occur annually.” Jury, as you can see from these statistics, the U.S indeed isn’t “more affected by gun violence than other countries” because actually it’s quite low.
