In the book Night by Elie Wiesel, he writes about his childhood during the Holocaust. He and his family are kicked out of their home and sent to a ghetto and then they are put on trains. During this time World War II is going on and Hitler is in charge of these acts. He has planned to kill all of the Jews. When they got to the concentration camp they were put into two lines. One line was put to work and the second line was instantly put in the crematorium. They were hopeful that they would be put to work and not just sent to the crematorium right away. When the Jews arrived at the concentration camp they were divided into two lines, one was for the jews that would be put to work and the other line was for the ones that would be sent to the crematorium right away. At Auschwitz, Eliezer’s mom and sister got put into a different line than him and his father. His mother and sister were sent to the crematorium, Eliezer and his dad were put into the line that would make them work. When they were on the train there was a crazy lady that was telling them about the fires that she foresaw.
