Autistic spectrum condition is a lifelong disability which affects how an individual communicates and relates to, other people. The understanding of autism has greatly improved since the 1940s when it was identified and one thing that we are aware of is that there is no cure however, there are many things that can be done to support people with autism. There are a large number of symptoms that are in relation to autism, such as a delay in speech development, not responding when their name is called and despite being able to hear, being intolerant of others entering their personal space. In addition to these, there are behavioural symptoms such as insisting on a familiar routine and becoming very anxious or upset if this is disrupted or changed, they will sometime talk at people rather than having a two-way conversation and a failure to understand or implement social rules.

Autism affects people in many different ways. First, There are multiple levels of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Some people are affected by A.S.D ( Autism Spectrum Disorder) differently. Some have more trouble with understanding than others. “A kid's symptoms could be very mild, severe, or somewhere in the middle. Someone with mild symptoms might need only a little bit of help. But a kid with severe symptoms might need a lot of help with learning and doing everyday stuff” (Source 3). Next, “People with autism may struggle with speaking, expressing their emotions, and understanding the emotions of others. Some people with autism have extreme sensitivities to sound or touch” (Source 2) A.S.D affects everyone differently, no one with A.S.D is exactly the same.

It affects a person because they have a harder time learning they have to learn in different ways they also have a harder time understanding certain situations, they have a hard time with social interacting , some may be able to speak while others are unable to speak, people may also have a harder time understanding people with autism.

I do have a disability but it also gives me unique abilities.
