__________________________________________________________ Process 1. Gather sources. Before writing your script, review the sources in the Resources section below. Then gather at least two additional sources to support the views you present in your script. For each source, consider the following questions: Who authored the document? What is the purpose of the document? When was the document written? How will this document help your script? 2. Read and evaluate sources. Next, examine each source and think about how you will use it to support the content of your script. Be an active researcher by asking the following questions about each source you reference: What is the credibility of the source? Is there any noticeable bias? How does the argument differ from others you have read? What is the value of the source to the topic you are investigating? 3. Write your script. Reference the sources that support your argument. The script may use the actual content of the source or it may be in narrative format. In either case, the source documents should be cited and referenced. To avoid plagiarism, make sure to cite your sources properly with in-text citations as well as a works-cited page. When you finish, reread the essay to check for all of the points above, and then proofread it to be sure your work does not contain errors in grammar or spelling. 4. Record your script

You might think about creating a list for this part of the project beginning with the first step – so the reader gets a clear idea of the sequence of the steps you will take to complete the research and data gathering needed for your project.
Gather relevant information about the five points you wrote about in Part 1, question 4 in the form of articles, Web site material, or other literature. In other words, collect five sources of literature on this subject.
Develop an alternative solution based on your own research using 3 to 5 academic sources from journals, professional organizations, and websites.

Step 1: Select your topic and focus question! Read the topics from the list on page 2 of this document and choose the topic and focus that interests you. Fill out the box below.
You need to review existing policy and procedure documents (in the appendices of your Student Workbook) and develop guidelines for managing the process of gathering research information. You also need to identify and plan to acquire all resources necessary for supporting the project.

The United States truly showed that we were coming together as a nation to become one of the most dominant countries in the world. The United States was brought into World War II when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. This event took Americans by surprise and soon would lead to bigger problems. The United States did not take the bombing lightly, and we gave Japan exactly what they deserved. On August 6th and 9th in the year of 1945, the United States dropped atomic bombs in the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I believe this was a message to the rest of the world to show them the kind of power that we had.
Throughout American history, there have been ups and downs in many regards. We have had our share of shining moments, and times that we are not so proud of. There are turbulent and tumultuous times as well- Sometimes seemingly in a cyclical pattern. This is all natural in our democratic society, and a part of any kind of nation as it grows and evolves in history. The health throughout America has seen its’ share of fluctuations for sure – And at times it can had an adverse effect on democratic “standards” which include equality among its people and their freedoms and liberties. Post World War II was one of these times.
There are features of the script not well understood and would benefit from more development.
In Postwar, by Tony Judt, Judt lays the groundwork of European history after World War II. Judt further gives analysis on the situations and solutions that were formed during this period of change and reconstruction. Judt 's book is a good source to inform the current generation of various issues, of which this review will address how organization of Europe, migration, and the battle of American and Communist ideals in Europe after World War II. Judt uses topics and information that can transcend generations to relate new and old issues. Judt does have faults in how in some instances his own opinions seem to overpower the text and take away from the overall value of his point and the history.
