Some presidents make very bad choices. I think that they should be a good leader, nice/respectful, honest, and equal to all races because if they follow these things than the country will run smoothly. The country should be able to trust, respect, and they should be able to be trusted when it comes to our safety of our country. First, I think that a president needs to be an obedient leader. They are helping to run the country so they need to know how to run the country whenever, they get into the White House. If he/she is not a good president, then the country will fall to the ground and the government will be unstable. An unstable government is not successful for our country. Secondly, I think that the president needs to know how
What makes a great president? Being the President of the United States is one of the most difficult positions to be in. And throughout history there has been presidents who faced crisis and made society a better place, and then there were some who did not live up to their greatest opportunities. Gerald R. Ford was the 38th President of the United States of America and was considered below average in all aspects of his presidency including relations with foreign affairs, the economy and social/political cases in our country. In fact, according to scores based on Fields of History, Law and Politics, he was ranked as below average. This proves that he was not worthy compared to the levels of presidents before his time.
The president exerts every type of leadership imaginable. The presidency, which was created with a great amount of power for our use needs to be in the right hands. The president can only lead us in the direction that we are acclimated to travel. He can’t order congress to disobey their duties, he can’t lead our civil servants to be fraudulent, and lastly, he cannot lead our people and public into something they are unprepared
We have had many presidents in our country’s history. The presidents themselves don’t last forever, but their impacts, legacies and memories do.They contributed to generations and future generations. But nobody is perfect and you can’t please everyone so of course in the eyes of some people there were presidents they believed to be better than others. Not everyone’s favorites will be the same. I myself believe that George Washington, Lyndon B Johnson, and Abraham Lincoln were some of the best presidents, but however with all good sides there are bad sides like presidency's I believed that the worst presidents were people like William Henry Harrison, John F. Kennedy, and John Tyler. However like I said before, everyone will have different rankings of the president's let's see if you agree and here are my reasonings.
Firsts of All, The President is suppose to help our country and make it a sastainable and healthy place for
Presidents should be honest, trustworthy, and have the best interest for their country. Many people often vote for who they truly believe will have the best political power. Over the many years America had dictated the best president to their knowledge. Some people do not choose the best president yet they choose what 80% of what the crowd is rooting for.Such as the president who is going to run for the 2016 Donald. Donald Trump should not be our next president because he does not have America 's best intentions.
Power, authority and governance can have a major impact on a government and the citizens living under that government. Just like these concepts play a major role in the development of a nation, so does a President. Once the United States Constitution was ratified, the American experiment began. The first Presidents had to go through many adversities and had to overcome them. There were several events that increased American moral which contributed to the growth of the U.S and it was up to the early Presidents to act in the best interest of the new nation. Throughout the history of the United States, the presidents had made choices that had both a negative and positive outcome. There are arguments and debates about how the effect of a President's
“Being a President is like riding a tiger. A man has to keep on riding or he is swallowed.” (Truman) Not only is being a President of the United States important it is also very challenging. The President must be a very thoughtful and intelligent person and at the same time be a symbol of national leadership upholding their role as the Head of state; in making sure to lead the executive branch of government, The Chief Executive; giving him the responsibility to enforce acts of congress in signing treaties, and the judgments of federal courts, etc. Not only is it hard being the president it’s a whole nother level just to be qualified to run
Strong leadership is critical in bringing the nation in the right direction. As the face of the nation, a strong president is needed to maintain the reputation the United States has with the rest of the world. When working with foreign nations,
The president should also be a person that is trustworthy and reliable to make that difficult decision to improve our nation. A great example of trustworthiness in George W. Bush and his quest to bring the terrorists responsible for 9/11 to justice. A president must also maintain a high level of integrity. The president must hold him/herself to a higher standard.
A president should be honest at all times being reliable at doing what they say.Otherwise at having courage to do the right thing. All presidents should have kindness, compassion, and forgiveness to other people like us and president.By the way, obey the law at all times and protect the environment for eveyone in the United States. Why presidents should.
Presidents Great and Bad Americas great Presidents include Washington, Lincoln, and Roosevelt and why their place in History, as well they earned the title. Washington self sacrifice for his nation in war and the politic arena, resulting, in a strong nation. The president is giving his life for the nation, as well as fighting in uniting a nation; President Lincoln in fighting the civil war brought a nation under one flag. Roosevelt fought for the average man by instituting social Security, welfare and public works projects, as well as fighting two wars at one time.
Expectations for American presidents vary depending on the people 's opinion and involvement in political parties. Whether Democrat or a Republican, all citizens want the United States to flourish. As years go on and new presidents come and go, America has to face problems that lead to either success or failure. It is up to the president to decide the best way to handle those situations. Unfortunately, most presidents fail to thrive in those positions due to pressure and uncertainty of the result. Theodore Roosevelt was an effective president who knew exactly what to do and when to do it so that America would grow into a more established country.
The common definition of a president is an officer who is elected or appointed to preside over an organized body of persons as the Chief Executive of the United States. When given this title , Americans expect vast achievements from that individual. Which is judged by their success in the present and the future during their 4 year term. Understandably, some of these expectations include; upholding the Constitution and protecting the natural rights and liberties of the American people . Along with taking speedy actions on problems facing the nation, while having a compelling vision for this country.
There is the possible risk of a president becoming a dictator. A president may start abusing their role, and try to remain president for longer, gaining an overpowering amount of control. This is a large problem, for if a president becomes a dictator, he or she would take over and control the whole country. This terminates all democracies set into place and takes away the freedom promised in the First and Fifteenth Amendment. This mistake has already been made before, with Vladimir Putin, the current president of Russia. In Russia, a law was placed that there was no term limit, however, you could not remain in the offices for over two terms consecutively (Wikipedia, 2018). Vladimir Putin managed to gain enough power to claim four terms consecutively. That is two terms over the limit! He has gradually become more and more overpowering, becoming more and more of a dictator rather than a president. We can all agree that we do not want this happening to the U.S. We want to keep this beautiful country a free democracy. We can prevent this conundrum by addressing it in two ways: reducing the role of the president and enforcing stricter rules. We could try making the president not such a large role. For example, Canada’s prime minister has a smaller role than the U.S. president, so we could try making the president’s role more like a prime minister’s. This will not give them as much
Because of their positions in the government and their resulting influential abilities, presidents are either praised for advancing the nation, criticized for not doing anything to help the country, or even making the country’s situation worse. Their success as president is dependent on the success of the country. People don’t take into consideration the attempts presidents make, but only those things that help or hurt the country. This leaves room for there to be a good president who may not accomplish much and a bad president who may accomplish a lot.
