Balance isn’t what people expect upon first meeting him. A young man fresh out of high school happens to sport short black hair, average tone build, light tan skin so he’s not pale, attractive enough, standing at 5'9" feet tall. He what most would call “little above average”. One noticeable feature was some scars on his face. While not intrusive to his face, indicates that he's gotten himself in the roughhouses a few times in his life. Overall, he stands out just enough so people notice him. He mostly friends with stability, correspondence, honestly. They seem to be on the page as balanced when talking about certain subjects together. This doesn't stop him from making friends who different as long they respect him. Balance seem to be the guy
Has anyone wondered how can a person, who differ in appearance than other people, become friends? If there’s a connection between them, it doesn’t prevent each other from becoming friends though they differ in appearance. In the movies “Finding Forester” William Forester is a white, middle-aged former writer and write several books. Jamal Wallace is a black basketball player and a teenage student, who is an expert in writing. At first, Jamal encounters William at William’s apartment, and they have an associate in writing. Although William and Jamal are writers, their characteristics are different in their personalities and living situations. (87-B)
There’s always that one guy you know who’s constantly smiling and making everyone feel better about their day and themselves. Someone who you feel you’ve known your whole life on the day you meet them. For most of my friends myself, that person is a 5’7” athletic guy with long brown hair and brown eyes with a smile that makes you think, “What do I have to be complaining about?” That guy’s name is Kyle Banash. Kyle has been there for everyone, never failing to highlight their day; and for the last three years, he’s felt like my own brother. Kyle has the kind of attitude that assures you, “This kid has always been happy like this, hasn’t he?” Much to your surprise, you'd be wrong. There’s a history behind Kyle that - until two and a half years
Abel is a tall lanky looking dude, with a goofy looking smile on his face and is always cracking dumb jokes. He has dark curly hair with white spots distinguished, but it doesn’t bother him one bit that’s just the type of person he is. He doesn’t care how other people feel about him, if they thin k that he’s an ass or that he’s weird he pays little attention to it. He always wares nice collar shirts, with jeans, and sporty shoes. He kind of looks like one of those stereotypical soccer players (considering that he’s the complete opposite)
We all have that one experience that we will never forget; stealing a chocolate bar, losing a pet, or watching a family member pass away. These experiences will either put negative or positive changes in our way of life. This is shown in the excerpt from “Rock & Roll JIhad” by Salman Ahmad, when he attends his very first concert. Also in the short story “A Matter of balance” By W.D. Valgardson, when Harold is faced with the choice of saving some bikers or leaving them to parish.
Every event has two sides to the story,in this case it was so much more unexpected. In a neighbourhood where practically nothing happens, everyone knows each other, the houses are pretty and the families are perfect, but every once in a while you must have something break the balance. Its usually an affair or teenage pregnancy scandal, but never has it been this bad.
At the end of July, during a morbid heat spell, a young lady jumped off of a third story balcony and tumbled into the dry brush, only to take off running. The slaps of her flip flops as she ran echoed through the cement sidewalk, causing a passersby to take a look, and then another.
This student is extremely creative and expressive in many areas of the classroom. He is very articulate, loves reading, highly concerned for others and even theatrical. He is able to generate original ideas by asking questions and talking about the topic. He is well liked by his peers, they often look to him for advice. On most occasions everyone wants this student in their group. He is very patient and concerned about others thought process. I love to watch him work in a group because he will assign peers jobs for the day while he facilitates the groups using questioning techniques. He is an excellent listener who values what others have to contribute to the group. I consider him an exceptional student and leader.
Cotton. The smell of cotton with a hint of polyester filled the air as sewing machines stitched fabric together in a zigzag pattern. As I sat in the back of Mrs. Kirkland's room, 400 wing, I pondered about becoming a seamstress.
What would you do if you found $500? I walked out of my house on a warm, sunny day in May. It felt like it was going to be like any other summer day, my Mom and I driving around, running errands, and our first stop, Target. After coming out of Target, where we went to get the random miscellaneous things that we needed I saw it…What I saw was a wad of green, a green color I know so well. Tucked amongst the rocks in a median there lie a wad of the cleanest, crispest $50 bills. Shocked, my mom and I counted the bills, there were $500. “Oh my gosh,” she exclaimed, “there is $500 here!” Being luck enough to find $500, I knew exactly how to spend it.
My cousin and I were having a perfect day until my brother got mad, not like it’s a surprise he has some anger issues that kid. Well anyways back to what I was saying, So we were all having a great day until my brother ruins it by coming out with a METAL BAT. Then hits me on the head just for talking to my cousin about what he did. He didn’t want to get into trouble like always. but that just got him into more trouble than he already was in, and I was on the floor laughing so hard but crying at the same time and I was only three and he was six. Kayla wasn’t even paying attention she was on her laptop doing something like normal.
It’s such a vicious cycle. Every time a teacher breaks out those green task sheets, I cringe and quiver. I know it’s a normal thing and all the other students do it but it’s very different with me. I don’t groan and moan with displease about assignments. I get genuinely afraid. Afraid of the fact that I have to start the vicious cycle again. I end up procrastinating because I’m a perfectionist. I don’t do the assignment so I won’t fail. I want to do the assignment but I can’t find the willpower. I was awoken from my daydream by Mr Harris yelling my name. It’s way too early for this. I look up to see him standing above desk tapping his foot. “Well? I’m waiting” he said with an annoyed tone. “What?” I said. Everyone in the class turned around and gave
To me she was absolutely perfect. I did not understand why she looked at me with such disgust. She constantly tore herself apart and I hated this. Quinn was no longer the nine year old girl with pig tails and braces who loved to see her reflection, she was now an eighteen year old girl who constantly avoided me. I miss the way she used to look at me with her bright blue eyes and her beautiful smile. At one point in time, she adored me and I miss that about her.
After Tally becomes a pretty, she wants to join the top clique which is the Crims. They have to go to a party where they have to dress up, and the best dressed get voted into the Crims. He tells her that he has something for her, but he doesn’t get the chance to give it to her because the police come into the party looking for Croy. Croy hurries and gives Tally a note. The note gives Tally clues to the place Croy hid the secret object. Tally meets the head leader of the Crims, Zane. Tally mentions Croy’s name and Zane tells
My hands trembled as tears flooded my eyes at the announcement. “You’ll be moving to georgia to live with your grandma”, says my mother, looking at my tears blankly. Does she not realize all that I am losing? Friends, my place among my peers, all the things I’ve grown attached to in the few years of being here robbed from me in one single phone call from my grandmother. At that moment the thought of losing everything consumes me with grief. But no matter how much I refused leaving, I would still have to go. At first being there was difficult; I was isolated and lost because the move changed all my plans as to what I was going to do for the future. Later on things turned around completely and I was better off than I was before. In the book
It was 3 A.m when the only sound around was her crying Crying your name because of the pain you gave her 3 A.m conversations no longer live Not a single 3 A.m giggle Giggles are now the sobs of a beautiful girl He gave her pain no one else could have 3 A.m screaming your name into her pillow Mascara down her face Those beautiful eyes he once loved Now are all red
