Perfect attendance is not easy to obtain; however, when one receives the award they quickly realize that coming to school is not simply a requirement, rather it is a privilege. This privilege includes new opportunities to better oneself, as well as, to take advantage of the phenomenal educational system of South Carolina. I have not always understood the significance of making it a priority to come to school, but, as I have grown, the importance of attendance has taken on a new light.
