Cigarette - a thin cylinder of finely cut tobacco rolled in paper for smoking. There are 4000 toxic chemicals in cigarettes and all harmful to the human body. Many people watch the tobacco advertisements on television, but the nicotine in a smoke is just too addictive. Cigarettes in the United States should be banned. Although, some may argue that cigarettes in the United States should stay legal. Smoking tobacco causes harmful diseases that may cause death, and it is also harmful to other people around you. First of all, cigarettes cause harmful diseases that may cause death. Cigarettes are as dangerous as a lion cub, they look cute and innocent at first, but then they attack you and you are left alone for a long painful death. According to “Should Cigarettes Be Illegal,” “Tobacco clearly takes a significant toll on the lives of Americans, causing 450,000 premature deaths each year, and drastic measures should be taken to eliminate the habit from our lives, including, some say, banning cigarettes.” Consequently, each year several people die from smoking cigarettes. Smoking reduces stress and everybody is their own person; they should be able to make their own decisions. Others talk about how happy they are when they smoke. However, on average one person per year spends $8,000 on packs and packs of cigarettes. Not only is it very pricey, but it also has a horrible stench as well as making their teeth turn yellow.
