Barack Hussein Obama II was born on August 4, 1961. His mother, Ann Dunham, was eight years younger than his father, Barack Obama Sr. Barack Obama Sr. was born of Luo ethnicity in Nyanza Province, Kenya. He grew up herding goats in Africa and, eventually, earned a scholarship that allowed him to leave Kenya and go to college in Hawaii. He also became aware of racism noticed there were no black men in the Sears Catalog. He dealt with self-doubt and had issues with his father. He had only seen his father once since his parents had divorced nearly sixteen years before. His father had also suffered tragedies. He had lost both of his legs in a car crash in 1981 and lost his job as a result. He died a year later in another car crash when Obama Jr. was only 21 years old. Making him really smart, all due to the hard work the school had to offer in terms of education. But everyone also commits in mistakes, also while growing up he did many kinds of drugs, now he wasn’t necessarily addicted but he tend to do them in multiple occasions. With no father or other family members to serve as role models including the fact that his relationship with his white grandfather was difficult, he wanted to raise himself to be an African American in the United States of America.
